I would like to continue having Dr. Brad Lipson as my primary. Unfortunately, when I saw him I did have a major sinus infection that required antibiotics. He did refer me to an ENT so he sent me in the right direction if it were under different circumstances. After seeing an ENT & getting a 2nd opinion they were mainly focused on helping me with my allergies, which obviously is a detriment to my sinus health, by "de-allergizing" my living quarters and having allergy shots. I did tell Dr. Lipson that this would happen if I saw an ENT because I had already went that route before I became desperate to seek help from him. This is why at my appt with Dr. Lipson I requested some antibiotics to tie me over until I closed on my new house where I could "de-allergize" it in the fashion that the ENT's required. I would be moved within 2 mos. following my appt with Dr. Lipson. Sadly, that didn't happen so this is my only complaint about my visit with Dr. Lipson, however, I hold the ENT's accountable too as it is their area of expertise where they could be practical about my situation & not focus solely on making money off of providing me allergy shots (which I've had to deal with my whole life). So, as I stated earlier I ended up with a MAJOR sinus infection, which got into my jaw area (which the jaw area was weak due to a jaw joint displacement problem I had from an injury that required 2 major surgeries). The sinus infection also infected my tooth (#5 to be exact) to the point where it had to be removed. I'm in the process of getting the implant right now after I have my sinus lift which required 6 mos. of healing. In any event, my new house is allergy friendly so I look forward to resuming my weekly shots until I get to a point that I never have to go through this again (constant infections and tooth loss, which is my 2nd thanks to my chronic sinus & allergy issues). If Dr. Lipson saw me when I have my usual strep throat I'm sure he would have given me antibiotics for that because that's easier to evaluate. And, he was EXTREMELY helpful by referring me to Align to help my immune system & irregularity as a consequence of other medications. Since I've started taking Align daily I feel a lot stronger overall and I'm more regular than I've been in a long time so I owe a lot to him for that. Finally, Dr. Lipson has a wonderful disposition, which I feel we certainly need to have more in this healthcare service industry.
