Dr. Alexander Lezhansky DDS

Dr Lezhansky is very sensitive to patients, both in terms of addressing concerns and alleviating anxiety, as well as sensitivity to pain during treatment (it was surprisingly painless, but he was still very gentle and made sure I stayed comfortable). Right from the introductory moment, I was at ease because of his open communication style and responsiveness to all of my questions. He has a very strong grasp of the latest advancements in dentistry and proves to be a talented dentist both in his knowledge and skills. He works very calmly and carefully, has a laid back yet professional chair side demeanor, and actually makes me want to return to the office to perfect my smile and oral health. I'm very happy to have found my dentist, and I've been telling all of my friends about my excellent experience with Dr. Lezhansky.

Dr. Alexander is a doctor...I felt very comfortable and he did fix my tooth ache!!! I just found my permanent dentist!!! ++++ His office is very clean

Overall a good experience. Two things of note. One is that their appointment process (in addition to the ZocDoc one) could use some improvement. They sent me an email reminder, which said I could just reply to it to confirm, but actually returned a 'address does not exist' when I tried that. Then when I called to confirm, they kept me on the phone for ~10 minutes while they dug around to find my appointment. Things went more smoothly once I was actually in the office. The last thing of note was that there was no hygienist, Dr. Lezhansky just did the cleaning himself. That wasn't a problem, just different than I'm used to. Slow day I guess.

Great visit. Normally I'm scared to death about the dentist, but Doc. Lezhansky is very relaxed and easy going. Always able to put a smile on my face and takes away all the edge.

Dr. Lezhansky is very likable and easy to make small talk with. The office is small, but the reception staff is ultra-efficient. On my first visit, I filled out forms, was immediately ushered in for an X-ray, and then saw the dentist right after. I needed a follow-up for a filling, and when I had to reschedule, the day-of the receptionist was pleasant and helpful. When I arrived for the appointment, I was again seen immediately and got my filling in under 20 minutes in and out the door. Only downside: I did have to schedule about 2 weeks in advance for the follow-up in order to get a coveted evening appointment at the Manhattan office (and then had to wait another 2 weeks when I needed to reschedule).

Amazing dentist, I have a fear of dentists, due to that, I have a lot of issues with my teeth, Dr. Lezhansky answered all my questions, took the time to make sure I was ok, made me feel really comfortable knowing my fears of dentists, I even had his staff call me the day after my root canal to make sure I was not feeling any discomfort or having any further issues.

Okay, this was the best experience I've ever had at a dentist. Not only was it quick, the receptionist was lovely and I waited not even 10 minutes after filling out paperwork to see him. I had gone to another dentist (also on ZocDoc with a high rating) which was like a dental factory and was told I needed $1,200 of work done. When I left, I made an appointment with Dr. Lezhansky and he told me I didn't even need it done unless I wanted to! Um, yeah... Not only was he nice but he was honest and wasn't trying to rob me. If I do end up deciding to have the teeth pulled, I would, hands down, see him before ever returning anywhere else. I hate the dentist but this guy was great, I recommend to anyone.

Very helpful. Gave me lots of great advise and listened to my issues. The cleaning was average. NOt the best, but not the worst I have had.

Clean and modern office, helpful Staff, extremely comfortable dental chair (massaging your back while the procedure is performed by the dentist!), great dentist!

Very personable and professional.

Unlike the first dentist that I went to, he did not judge me and my teeth. I knew that my teeth weren't in the most optimal shape, but he made me feel comfortable for the time I was there. Bonus points to the receptionist as well; they all were kind to me.

Aside from the wait time (which may have had something to do with having to call my insurance from the office) my checkup/ cleaning was great! The office was very modern and the chair even had a massage feature. Dr. Lezhansky answered my questions and didn't seem rushed, which I really appreciated.

First time there for a cleaning. Went smoothly; nice assistant who took care of paperwork and did the x-ray. Was then taken to the "ops room" where a massage chair was on while waiting for the doc to come. First time I saw this, and a nice plus to relax. He was courteous, explained what he saw in the x-ray and off we went for the cleaning. A bit rough sometimes but nice experience and already booked my next appt.

I usually don't like going to the dentist, as they lack personality and conversation skills. However, Dr. Lezhansky (that isn't easy to type) was great. His cleaning could have been a bit more thorough, as I appreciate time spent by a professional, but he got the job done quite well.

My teeth still hurts after two fillings! The secretary doesn't know anything about insurance coverage or the cost of any of the services offered. The dentist had great customer service, but my teeth still hurts!!!!!! I recommend seeing someone else.

I met with Dr. L first for a cleaning and check up. His first impression in very friendly, professional, and down to earth, making me feel comfortable immediately. It turned out I had 3 cavities so I had to make 2 follow-up appointments. I am the BIGGEST chicken when it comes to tolerating pain and getting dental work done but Dr. L made me feel comfortable and the two appointments to get my cavities filled took only about 30 minutes each. It takes me a while to get numb sometimes but he was patient and calm and made sure that I was fully number before starting. I would highly recommend Dr. L!

I am a scardy cat when it comes to the Dentist. To many bad experiences. He put me at ease and seemed to cater to my interpretation.

Dr.Alexander is a phenominal dentist,he is courteous,caring and an all around great guy!He has made me feel very comfortable since my first visit.Himself and his staff of proffesionals are great! And in this short time of knowing him I already feel like I'm visiting a friend.My advice to anyone who reads this GO SEE ALEX!

Went here a year ago for the first time and had to reschedule because his receptionist told me that my insurance was not updated. I had one cleaning visit and one filling visit over the next 6 months, which were satisfactory. The dentist is friendly but the reception desk is an organizational mess, and I've always had to wait an average of 30 minutes past my appointment time. On my third visit I was informed that my insurance was again not updated and they could not see me. Instead of solving the problem, or discovering the issue before I arrived for my appointment, the receptionist desk blamed me for the mishap and claimed that she could not get in touch with the insurance company because they had closed for the day so there was nothing they could do. The dentist never came to the receptionist desk to assist his air-headed receptionist during the confusion. I reached a representative from the insurance company 10 minutes after being turned away from the office and they were able to fix the problem and even offered to backdate the insurance information 1 day so I could still be seen for my appointment. This was not needed because this friendly dentist with average skill could not compensate for the disastrous customer care I received from his incompetent receptionist.

Dr. Alexander Lezhansky is a great dentist. Today was my first consultation with the dentist, and he was very informative and very insightful. He made me feel comfortable and asked me throughout the consultation if I had any questions. I'm so glad to have found a great dentist.

My experience was very positive -- Dr. Lezhansky was considerate, honest and direct. Moreover, I didn't feel rushed through, there was time to ask questions.

Awesome massage chairs in office. Good guy, actually did the cleaning himself, which was cool.

The visit was great! I had my first (and hopefully last, haha) root canal today and it wasn't painful or uncomfortable at all. The doctor was very knowledgeable and put my mind at ease. I highly recommend him!
