Dr. John Varoscak DDS

Professional Statement

Dr. John R. Varoscak, D.D.S earned his dental degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1969. The year of his graduation he was honored with the Annual Student Award by the American Academy of Periodontology. He went on to study Periodontics at the postgraduate level at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where he received his certificate of training in Periodontics in 1971.

Dr. Varoscak is a former faculty member of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, and Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He was Section Chief of Periodontics in the Department of Dentistry at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Varoscak has taught periodontology and pain management techniques to countless students and dentists, and has lectured and participated in numerous continuing education courses in the United States, Latin American, and Europe. He is currently the Education Director of the New York County Dental Society, and is the co-founder and President of the New York Metropolitan Dental Study Club since 1974. Dr. Varoscak has a sub-specialty in the diagnosis and treatment of orofacial pain and has published numerous articles on this subject.
