Dr. Mark Schlesinger specializes in the replacement of missing teeth with dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, laser dental surgery and in the treatment and management of advanced dental and periodontal disease.
We improve the function, health and appearance of the mouth, while at the same time, building self-esteem and restoring quality of life for our patients.
Dr. Mark Schlesinger received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry, where he graduated at the top of his class. He was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and graduated with distinction as the recipient of the Quintessence Award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics.
Dr. Schlesinger went on to complete an additional three years of extensive specialty training in the prestigious Advanced Education Program in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the New York University College of Dentistry.
As a result of his exemplary leadership skills, he was elected as the Chief Resident of the residency program and upon graduation was honored with both the Leadership and Clinical Excellence Awards, historically given to two graduates, rather than one.
After completing specialty training, Dr. Schlesinger became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. A Diplomate is a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty and who is certified by the American Board of Periodontology.
Achievements
Dr. Schlesinger founded and currently serves as the President of the New York Academy of Collaborative Dentistry. This professional organization provides a forum for dentists and dental specialists in NYC to gather and share knowledge and offers its members the opportunity to earn continuing education credits.
He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor on both the graduate and post-graduate level at the New York University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Schlesinger has been identified as one of America's Top Dentists by the Consumer Research Council of America. He is an active member of numerous dental organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists, the American Dental Association, the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, the New York State Dental Association and the New York County Dental Society.
Dr. Schlesinger resides on Long Island with his wife, daughter and son. He enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle and spending time with family and friends.
