Professional Statement:

Dr. Fox is internationally recognized as a former faculty member of New York University Dental College and Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Fox pioneered the concept of early stage cosmetic intervention, enabling the restoration of teeth at the earliest stage possible. Plaque attacks teeth and causes the loss of calcium, which leads to small cavities and discolored enamel. Dr. Fox starts by diagnosing dental problems with a laser which identifies the loss of calcium at an early stage, long before x-rays can detect a cavity. When possible Dr. Fox treats the teeth with remineralizing products to stop cavities before they begin, and he repairs the teeth at the microscopic (nano) level. If the teeth require fillings, Dr. Fox saves tooth structure by eliminating as little of the tooth as he can and restoring the tooth with nano composite material, building an exceptionally strong and cosmetic result. Dr. Fox has a conservative approach to lab restorations which includes, but is not limited to, crowns, inlays and veneers. He believes that "drilling off" good tooth structure is a mistake and he always starts with minimally invasive porcelain restorations. When possible, all veneers are done with no tooth preparation. The veneers he uses are the thickness of a fingernail (.2mm) and provide a superior cosmetic result that does not harm good enamel! Dr. Fox has lectured on his early stage philosophy all over the world. His philosophy was conceived from the original work that he developed with the American Dental Association's Research Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Scientific advice came from a Nobel Prize winner in chemistry, a Dean of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and an Assistant Surgeon General of the United States.
