Dr. William Wang is a specialist in Periodontics and Implantology. His practice concentrates on the conservative treatment of gum disease including specialized interest in soft tissue reconstructive plastic surgery to aesthetically enhance your smile and dental implants that can replace one or all of your missing teeth. He uses the latest technology and science to regrow bone (regeneration) in the jaws where bone loss was caused by infection from gum disease, loss of teeth, or injury.
Dr. Wang earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.) from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV), School of Dentistry in 1991. Following an intense one-year Medical General Practice Residency at MCV Hospital, Dr. Wang went on to complete a two-year Surgical residency in Periodontics. Post residency, Dr. Wang continued at MCV as Assistant Professor in Periodontics and was highly recognized by his peers upon his departure in 1998 with a Staff Appreciation Award. Dr. Wang has over 15 years of experience in Periodontics and Implant Surgery, and has been practicing in Annandale, Northern Virginia since 1997. He was cited as Top Periodontist by the Northern Virginia magazine in June 2009, and is recognized by his colleagues as one of the best periodontists in the area.
Dr. Wang has dabbled in various sports, competing in the state track meet as a sprinter in high school and winning the MVP award in softball. He spends his time away from the office playing tennis, trying out new restaurants with his wife Nikka, and hanging out with his adorable pit bull Zeus.
