I am a new patient, and I was able to get an appointment very easily, and after booking online, the nurse called to confirm within 30 minutes. I showed up about 45 minutes early (it wasn't planned, traffic was a lot better than expected and I found parking sooner than I thought), so I had a little longer to wait, but that was my fault. It just gave me plenty of time to do the paperwork and insurance stuff. The secretaries were very nice and explained exactly what I needed to read and where to sign. My appointment was at 1200p, and I did have to wait until about 1230p to be called. It was a little strange that some other people who arrived after I did, were called sooner. Perhaps they were seeing another doctor, I don't know. Anyways...once in the room, I talked with the nurse for a few minutes then waited maybe 10-15 more minutes for the doc. Once he came in, he was great. He had a lot of answers that went along with some of the research I had done on my own. He was very open to any questions or suggestions I had about other treatments and products. I can't really say how long he was in the room with me, but I know I was walking out of the office around 130pm. He even threw in a few sample ointments (I think for free). All in all, I'm glad I chose Dr Karaban's office. I would recommend him to a friend and will go back if I need to. I had to pay out of pocket, because my deductible was too high, but with the consultation (I was told it would be around $70-90), the ointments (free or not), and the freezing of a small mole, the visit cost me $139. This being my first visit to a dermatologist, I thought that was very reasonable, maybe even on the cheap side.
