I am a dentist and I went there for scaling ( cleaning). at the begining I didnt tell them that am dentist.
they told me I have to take full mouth xray which is unreasonable for cleaning not filling.
the doctor came to me to clean my teeth and only spent 3 minutes and then he told he finished!!!!
( more than half of my teeth were untouched)
I told him that its not a good job he told me i didnt clean the rest because you dont have an xray..
then I told am dentis and I know everything !!!
then he started to clean my teeth properly!!!
but what If I am not dentist ?????????
my advise : please dont go there and waste your money.

I wish that Dr. Shafa listed his business practice (specifically West Coast Dental of 6th Street) in his profile. I had a similar experience to many of the 1-star reviews on Yelp: I was convinced that my gums were in such bad shape that I needed laser therapy and antibiotics. Later my insurance confirmed that they don't cover these procedures because they consider it medically unnecessary. I will never see this doctor again and am currently filing a complaint to the LA Department of Consumer & Business Affairs.
