Dr. Adam Schneiderman, a board certified ophthalmologist, received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his medical degree from Upstate Medical
University in Syracuse. During medical school he was the recipient of an Alumni Scholarship Award for academic excellence. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident. This was followed by a one year fellowship at The Eye Laser Center in Tucson, Arizona.
Following completion of his fellowship training in 2002, Dr. Schneiderman returned to his native New York, where he has since been providing general ophthalmology services in a private practice setting. With an emphasis on preventive eye care, he focuses on the preservation of healthy vision through early detection of such conditions as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic eye disease. He treats a wide range of eye disorders and has an interest in the management of dry eye syndrome. Dr. Schneiderman is dedicated to providing thorough eye examinations and takes pride in his attention to detail. One of his goals at Union Square Eye Care is to make sure that each patient has an understanding of his or her eye findings and treatment plan. In addition to caring for his own patients, Dr. Schneiderman contributes to resident education and performs monthly eye exams at the Lexington School for the Deaf in Queens.

Adam Schneiderman was a very good MD. He examined my eyes and told me what I needed to do to maintain good eyesight. I will definitely visit Dr. Schneiderman again.
Their secretaries turn off the phone lines way before the 5pm closing time so you can't even get through. Once 5pm hits it goes directly to the "office is closed" message. But they say you can call their answering service. The problem is the answering service gives you the same voicemail as the secretaries put on when they don't want to answer calls. Basically just saying "we are busy so leave a message." Of course you don't get a call back. Even three hours after the office closed the answering service still says "we are busy" instead of getting through to someone. On top of that, the secretaries picked up the phone and hung up right away twice without saying anything when they did actually answer. Awful patient service!!!!
Well worth the wait! Dr. Schneiderman is thorough and thoughtful. I'm so glad I went to him for a second opinion.

My experience was great. The doctor was very nice. I didn't have to wait too long.
Dr Adam Schneiderman and the technician were extremely professional and pleasant to talk to. HOWEVER, the front desk made me wait almost an hour to get the prescription after the doctor finished his exam. Every few minutes, I was told that they are working on getting the print out, and will take minute... but a minute became almost an hour. They clearly do not value other people's time. I missed two other meetings at my work because of that. The practice needs to do something about this to not to have patients leave with such negative impression after a pleasant doctor exam.
Great front office staff, excellent assistant , I was seen right away but the entrance is off putting. There is a table right when you get off elevator where it looks like someone is making payment arrangements for glasses, etc. The doctor leaves much to be desired. He's an ok doctor but nothing to write home about and not one to recommend. Sorry.

This was my first visit with this particular doctor. The staff is friendly, attentive and courteous. The waiting room is clean, perhaps a little too spartan in terms of magazines to flip through as one waits. Dr. Schneiderman is friendly and approachable and I will be happy to sign him up as my regular eye care provider.
Dr. Schniderman is a very patient and kind man. He took the time to answer all my questions and even let me use his computer to show him the kind of contact lenses I wanted. I have not had a more thorough eye exam before. His bedside manner is impeccable and even though the wait time was longer than I had anticipated, I would go again. I highly recommend him.

Dr Schneiderman is a very quiet person. It seems he tries to make conversation but is an introvert at heart. Don't expect a gregarious person but rather one who does his job and seems very serious about it.
