I saw Dr. Shustarovich for the first time and thought she was great! Including the time for me to fill out the forms and for the assistant to verify my insurance, I was in within 15 minutes of arriving (maybe 3 minutes of waiting). She was very friendly and thorough and she spent a significantly more time with me than other doctors that I had seen in the past. I felt I was well taken care of and would highly recommend her.

Dr. Shustarovich is a pleasure to visit! Extremely friendly and well-informed, she answered all my questions and never made the appointment feel rushed. Even on my first visit, she made me feel that she understood my complex medical history better than doctors I'd seen for years. Highly recommend.

I though Dr. Alla Shustarovich was great. She was informative and thourough. Pleasant doctor to visit. She took her time with me. However, that being said, I thought her staff was rude. A bad day, probably, but unproffessional. Would recommend her, not that office. Perhaps another location. I was at her nearest to Battery Park "area" office.

New patient for annual checkup. She didn't weigh or measure me which I thought was weird, but she was very nice and took the time to answer any questions I had and discuss my health with me.

Dr. Shustarovich is kind and efficient. But I ended up waiting 40 mins to see her. The real unpleasant part of my visit was the attitude of the receptionist there. She requested that I pay my co-payment first before seeing the doc. I responded by saying, "oh....I've never experienced paying first before seeing a doc." She replied in an condescending tone, " welll---the doc won't see you unless you pay first." This made me feel like I was in some third world country with no health insurance at all. This is not to say, people without health insurance should be spoken in this way because no one should in any medical clinic. At the end of my visit, I told Dr. Shustarovich about the unpleasant attitude of this receptionist and she was very apologetic. Overall, even though Dr. Shustarovich was great---the receptionist and 40 mins wait time to see her was so off putting that I really doubt I'll come back for another visit.

Dr. S is very knowledgeable and was able to immediately diagnose me. She is also a very personable doctor who is easy to talk to, which is very important in a doctor. I'd recommend Dr. S to all my friends!

Dr. Alla was so great! Friendly, Made me feel comfortable, funny and a great first doc visit. Her receptionist was not so friendly and made me an appt that I ran to to find out that they told her what time and I was late as I was coming from a distance. And, after running to the appt I was turned down.

It was very comfortable talking to the Doctor. She's thorough and does not seem like she rushes to medicate just to feel like she's doing something (I went for a physical / was not actually sick). She also considers lifestyle options (e.g. cutting back on coffee if having stomach problems), which was refreshing.

I love this Dr.Shustarovich. She is extremely patient and will answer all your questions and concerns. She doesn't force unnecessary tests on you or make you feel like your opinion doesn't matter. However, I wish I could love her staff too! But they are extremely rude! I was waiting for an hour last time and when 50 minutes went by I went up to the front desk to ask if I was the next patient to see her. I received a rude and short reply of "i don't deal with patients!" and that was it. Dr.Shustarovich, please get new staff!

The doctor is a sweetheart, BUT there are MAJOR problems with the reception desks in both the New York and Brooklyn offices. In New York, as I sat in the chair waiting to be called in for my appointment, the receptionist got a call from someone who wanted to get an immediate appointment with her psychiatrist. The receptionist started out patient, but grew nasty and even though it sounded like the person on the other end of the line was having a nervous breakdown, berated and patronized the caller. Then, a few weeks later, I called the office, being in extreme abdominal pain, hoping to see the doctor, and the wrath was turned on me. I was actually yelled at for asking when the doctor was expected in the office so that I could talk to her. Apparently, I hadn't heard, because the receptionist screamed "I ALREADY TOLD YOU TWO O'CLOCK!" That's when I hung up the phone and started looking for another ob/gyn.

PROS: My appointment with Dr. Shustarovich could not have been better. She was friendly, very professional and very thorough. Made me feel like I was in good hands. CONS: The front desk needs more training. The young women at the desk Wed between 11:15 and 1:30 could be more polite and professional. The wait was over an hour. Why is there no sign-in sheet in such a busy office?

Dr. Shustarovich has been our family's doctor for about 10 years. She came highly recommended to us and we never regretted being under her care. She has always been extremely knowledgeable, patient, sensitive and extremely polite. She always gives the right care or the right referral to the specialists for a follow up. She seems to know the right doctors, recommending the best in town. Urgent care is given by her when needed. She is always available to her patients. Scheduling is easy at her office. I would highly recommend her to any person that wants to find a great healthcare professional that cares.
