Dr. Alpa Vadher was raised in NE Philadelphia and attended Philadelphia HS for Girls. After completing her BA in Biology at Temple University she continued onto
Temple School of Medicine earning her MD in 1996. She completed her residency at Hunterdon Medical Center which is renowned for being one of the original 6 programs for Family Practice in the US.
Dr. Vadher joined Colonial Family Practice in 1999 and continues to grow her practice . She is Board Certified in Family Practice and enjoys the full spectrum of care that we provide. She enjoys getting to know families and has special interests in women’s health, adolescent and pediatrics, dermatology procedures, joint injections, travel and preventive medicine.
She is fluent in Hindi and can speak in Gujurati and Spanish as well. In her free time, Dr. Vadher enjoys spending time with her family (3 children) traveling, photography, gardening, arts and crafts, cooking and dance.
She enjoys educating patients about their illness with current evidence based medicine and information technology and has been awarded the 2010 Patient’s Choice Award and 2010 Most Compassionate Doctors Award. She is a member of the American Medical Association and Chester County, Pennsylvania and American Academy of Family Physicians.…

Dr. Vadher is extremely knowledgeable and spent a good deal of time with me in determining a diagnosis. She really cares about her patients well being.
