After graduating with honors from S.U.N.Y Binghamton in 1982 with a degree in Biology, Dr. Salzan attended S.U.N.Y College of Optometry. He successfully
completed the program and received his O.D. degree in 1986 and has been licensed and practicing in the state of New York for over 20 years.
He fits all of the various types of contact lenses, including the newer technologies including multifocal lenses. Dr. Salzan is also certified to treat minor eye irritations and infections.…
Dr. Salzan was great - he did a thorough eye exam, and his staff was fast and friendly.
Both his staff and the doctor were thorough - a lady called my insurance on my behalf to make sure my insurance was accurate/up-to-date (which was great, because it turns out I misunderstood which insurance I was covered under).
Additionally, I was fitted for my first pair of contacts and the doctor went to extra lengths to make sure they fit and I knew how to use them.

Staff very accomadating fast service I recommend this group
Dr Salzan was brusque and hurried. The exam room was a strange extension of a grimy storefront that felt both cramped and unprofessional. I will not be returning here!

The receptionist was very welcoming and engaging. Dr. Salzan on the other hand was very vague and seemed annoyed/impatient. I got in and out quickly so I was happy with that but he could've been more engaging.

I went for and got a complete eye exam;; the Dr. was just a little light on explaining the meaning of only those abbreviations used in writing the prescription

Dr. Salzan and the receptionist were both very nice and friendly. I was seen right away, and the eye exam was quick but thorough. Dr. Salzan didn't rush if I wanted to go back to certain settings to see which was clearer. I didn't have time to pick out frames but the selection looked nice, and it's refreshing to go to an independent shop instead of a large chain.

Very professional, gave me a thorough eye exam and did not try to push anything on me that I did not need. Quick and to the point. I will probably go back for a contact lens fitting. I do wish he and his staff greeted me when I first came in, that was a tiny bit off-putting,especially since I was the only one there. But that would not keep me from going back. I would rather have a very competent doctor than a jolly fool.

very professional and great service. I was 15 mins late and got served right away. Spend two hours in the store choosing frames with friendly and professional service.

Had to wait 35 minutes past my appointment time even though I arrived 20 mins ahead of time. Overall, was an OK experience but nothing special.
