Dr. Angelo Aiello, who graduated from Moorestown Senior High School, is a 1968 graduate of Glassboro State College, now Rowan University, with a BA in Education. His teaching career was interrupted by three years in the US Army, including a year in Vietnam, working with 5th Special Forces as a special agent in counterintelligence.
He graduated from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1978 and has been in private practice in Riverside and Delran since then.
In 1983, Dr. Aiello started his specialty in geriatric optometry, helping to build Senior Medical Services, the largest provider of nursing home eye care in the Delaware Valley, serving almost 100 nursing facilities. Recognizing the increasing demand for home health services, his office has begun to offer house calls for those unable to leave their homes for eye care or glasses. It is anticipated that this aspect of the practice will grow considerably in the future.
Since 1987, Dr. Aiello has been working with the ORCHID Foundation, which supports a home/school for destitute and orphaned children in the Dominican Republic. He is married with two sons and a daughter and resides in Mt. Laurel, NJ. …
