Training:
Dr. Tignor received her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and completed internal medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell. She proceeded to complete fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women's Hospital where she was also a clinical fellow.
She concurrently received a Masters in Public Health with a focus in Clinical Effectiveness from the Harvard School of Public Health.
Dr. Tignor went on to advanced gastroenterology training in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) at the Johns Hopkins Hospital where she also served on faculty as Instructor in the gastroenterology division.
Board Certification:
Dr. Tignor is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Areas of Interest:
In addition to general gastroenterology and hepatology, her areas of focus include pancreatic disorders, pancreatic cystic lesions and EUS-guided imaging and biopsy. She is currently accepting referrals for general gastroenterology, colorectal cancer screening, acute-recurrent and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts/masses, and general endoscopic ultrasound imaging.
