Patient Reviews for Arash Akhavan, MD
Dr. Akhavan was great. He took his time, truly listened, and gave thoughtful suggestions and responses. He both put my mind at ease and made me feel comfortable while in the office. I was also seen right away.
This is my second time to see Dr. Akhavan. Excellent both times!!!
My second visit with him. Great again!
I've seen him 3 times in the past, and he's good at what he does. Visits usually are much longer than my visit today. I went for a mole screening, but it was about 5 minutes long. Last time it was a bit longer, but no biggie. I have a feeling that he was rushing because the person who was scheduled before me was running late, and got there when I got there. He has great bedside manner though, which is hard to come by these days. One thing that I do think needs to be worked on is the front desk. They are very curt, not friendly at all really. You could be standing there at the window for a good 2 minutes before they acknowledge you. Maybe they need to hire another person to lighten the load?
Fast, very professional and spends time walking you through your condition. Best doctor I have seen in NYC.
My first visit with Dr. Akhavan was great! I was quite nervous to find out the severity of my skin condition, and when he evaluated me he never made me feel horrible. He was warm, genuine, calm and took his time to explain his findings. The trust in his diagnosis and treatment was immediate. He answered all of my questions, and remained focused on me - not the papers in front of him, or the next patient. I truly enjoyed my visit, and look forward to my visits in the future!
For some reason zoc doc didnt work and I wasn't in the Dr's appointment book for the day. That said, they still accomodated me on-time and without any complaints. He was the best dermatologist I have seen in NYC. Did not feel rushed and took time to listen to my concerns and addressed them. Would definitely use him again in the future.
Great dr. Highly recommend him..
Great experience. Really knew what he was talking about. Took a lot of time to explain my medications to me- even showed me how to use them on his own skin!!! I really liked him and would definitely recommend him.
Dr. Akhavan was very knowledgeable and had a calm, comforting demeanor. The visit wasn't rushed and he went over all my questions. He offered sound medical treatments and not ones that would just make money. I highly recommend him!
Dr. Akhavan was very pleasant, helpful, and calming. I have been seeing dermatologists since I was a teenager and this was my best experience by far. His nurse was also very nice. Highly recommend!
This was easily the most pleasant meeting I've ever had with a doctor. He listened and asked questions, responded with thoughtful treatment options, and even has a pleasant sense of humor. As he warmed up with me, I felt more comfortable. I will see he again to pursue the treatment options he recommended. Oh, and he does cosmetic dermatology, too, so if you're interested in Botox or lasers, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Akhavan.
