Dr. Staruch's background includes 15 years working in medical research before becoming a Naturopathic physician in 1997. Since then she has maintained a private practice, lectured for supplement companies on women’s health and taught online courses on herbs, physiology and aromatherapy.
Dr. Staruch has always been interested in physiology and biochemistry. She enjoys trying to understand the underlying mechanism of a disease condition to determine what the body is trying to do, and then determine how to remove the obstacles to cure and return the body to balance and vitality. In this way Dr. Staruch combines evidenced-based science with the naturopathic principles. The modalities she uses most frequently are lifestyle education, nutrition, and herbs. Her clinical interests are in women’s health, metabolic syndrome, fibromyalgia, allergies and immune disorders.
