Very nice person and very likeable. I just wish he'd given me more insight into what he is thinking re my allergies. I should've asked more questions, but also I think he should've talked about the allergies way more than he did. He also told me to come again after the holidays, but I don't understand why. Nothing serious was discovered so I don't know what the follow up would be or why it is needed. Probably will not go.

He prescribed me with a bunch of meds that weren't covered by my insurance and that were also sort of a pain to take (nasal spray that invariably made me sneeze for about 2 minutes straight) and told me to get a procedure that I didn't think was necessary. He also did name-drop a few times, but that didn't bother me too much. Overall a very nice man but maybe over-prescribes? I would have liked more non-invasive, natural methods for sinus health.

Fantastic. Dr. Lubitz spent time getting to know me and letting me get to know him. He listened very carefully to everything I had to say about my condition and asked insightful questions to get me to focus on things I had not thought of that were important to my treatment. He then gave me his cell number and told me to text through the course of treatment, even in off hours, to let him know if my condition changed. I texted once so far and he got back to me with the help I needed within ten minutes. I am totally confident that he is THE BEST. This guy is a gem!

The office should be cleaner, as it was very dusty considering you are dealing with allergies. He should shut the door when speaking to patients to avoid violating HIPPA laws, esp given how loud he is. He should listen more and talk less. The front desk should be less chaotic, more organized.

He was incredibly wonderful. He even heard me wheezing when I wasn't aware that I was. As a result, he tested my lung function before he'd do any allergy testing on me, and when I tested at 50% gave me meds to treat that before he'll do the allergy testing so he wouldn't make things worse. Incredible! Highly recommended!

I am a young woman that has loads of medical issues and I take a good amount of meds. I'm also pretty allergic to lots of things. Dr. Lubitz was my only doctor that made the connection that a medication I was supposed to take daily was causing allergic breathing issues. After stopping the medication my breathing is back to normal and no more scary attacks. Can't thank him enough for being on top of his game when 3 other doctors of mine were not.

Dr. Lubowitz and his staff were friendly and professional. I happened into the office at a slow time, so I was in and out as quickly as I needed to be, and the doctor took plenty of time to make small talk and get to know me. I only had a vague idea of what I needed from him when I arrived, but within in a few minutes, he had figured it out. I'll almost certainly return here the next time I need help from an allergist.

In my rather short time on this planet I have found that smart people are generally weird and very smart people are even weirder. Doctor Lubitz is a very knowledge doctor and to the wrong person, may come off arrogant. He's not, his shtick is to talk about himself (after all, you're trusting him with your health) to satiate any concerns you may have with him. What comes off as him tooting his own horn is really him trying to establish trust with patients. After all, his line of work covers everything from what's under your covers to your family's history. He might know all your secrets, perhaps it's appropriate for you to know a bit about him. So after he finishes talking about his education, family history and general view of the world (I timed this to be a total of 10 minutes.) He'll find you excellent solutions, refer you to the right place and give you the information you came for.

Dr.Lubitz was excellent. I found him on my insurance website and his location is what prompted me to choose him and I'm so glad I did. He reminded me of my childhood allergist who I only had to stop seeing because he no longer accepted insurance and couldn't afford to pay cash. Dr. Lubitz was honest and even discuseed with me my plans to have children and what to do regarding my health going forward in conjunction with that plan. I would highly recommend him.

I went to see Dr. Lubitz for an allergy and asthma consultation. He is great, so is the staff and office. Convenient locations and times available on different days at different offices. I decided to do weekly allergy shots so I go very frequently and the staff is very prompt and timely.

Excellent doctor. I've seen Dr. Lubitz several times over a period of months. He shows a zest for keeping up with trends, theories, and details of his medical specialty, and he is willing to explain. (He teaches medicine at NYU Medical School). At the same time, as a science-minded clinician, he acknowledges gray areas where what we "know" through conclusive research tapers off, and where his experience and informed pragmatism fill in. He is matter-of-fact about risk-benefit judgments, and he is sensitive to my needs and preferences as a patient. He readily allows multiple possibilities in diagnosis, and more than one good answer to treatment questions. I trust him. While some doctors may get drawn into too-narrow a focus on their specialties, Dr. Lubitz keeps his focus in a clear context. He attends to the health and well-being of the whole person. And he brings his sense of humor with him around the office and in with his patients. You can see the smiles in the waiting room of returning patients who are glad to be in Dr. Lubitz's care, as I am.

Dr. Lubitz is an arrogant, self-absorbed, rude know-it-all who knows nothing and contradicts everything even when he's the one who says it. He doesn't listen at all and interrupted my case history to tell me what years he was graduated from college (Brooklyn, 1976) and medical school (Downstate, 1981), he also told me about high school (Midwood, year unknown because I stopped listening). All he cares about is being right even if it's at the patient's expense. Awful experience, awful person, awful doctor.

Terrible! I went to Dr. Lubitz after getting a blood test that indicated I was allergic to numerous foods. He said the blood tests were not too accurate, wrote me a prescription for an epi pen and sent me on my way despite me asking to have more accurate tests done (scratch/patch tests). I went to Dr. Morris Nejat a few days later and he ran a full panel of scratch tests which identified I was highly allergic to a series of foods and grasses. Dr. Lubitz was not helpful at all and simply rushed me out of his office. Stay away at all costs.

I do not understand the point of having an appointment, and triple booking patients for the same time. It’s as if this office thinks that the doctor’s time is not as important as the patents time. I have a family, responsibilities, and oh yeah a job so I can pay for my prescriptions and co-payments. Something needs to be done to correct this. Very unprofessional. If I’m on time as a patient for my appointment, a professional doctor should adhere to that time slot as well. I waited 1 hour to see the doctor for my initial visit, and was told (five minutes past my appointment time) with respect to my follow up visit: “I’m not sure what time the doctor will see you..sorry.” The only reason this doctor’s office, and many other, get away with this practice is due to the fact that patients are at the doctors mercy, and the doctor realizes it.

Dr. Lubitz is every bit the professional that others have described him to be. I'm so accustomed to doctors (of all kinds) hastily writing down your information and then rushing you out of their office - not the case with Dr. Lubitz - He actually requested that I slow down because he really wants to get the information correct. The wait was long because I was late for my appt. Dr. Lubitz seems to be a good doctor that knows his stuff, however he can be a bit rude. I went in to see about a rash on my back. I wrote it out in the comments section so the office was well aware. However when I was called into the back no one asked me if I needed a gown or gave me one. So when the doctor and I talked about the rash and he asked to see it, I got up out the chair to show him the rash. He said "wait hold on this is not a strip joint, let's be lady like here". I was very embarrassed and offended to say the least. I am a grown woman with a husband and two children, and had the office and the doctor properly prepared me for my VISIT with a gown the comment would not have been necessary. I have to back to Dr. Lubitz because I have to follow up as I may have a serious illness on my hands. I may even go back for allergy shots as I have very bad allergies, however, Dr. Lubitz needs to be VERY careful about how he addresses PEOPLE, AND IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN I WILL NOT GO BACK.

I was outraged at the office's overbooking. There did not appear to be many people waiting in the office, maybe 2 or 3 people infront of me at most, and as I arrived 10 min BEFORE my appointment time I thought nothing of it. At sign in at reception I asked about delays and was not told about anything. I complained twice while waiting (after hitting 35-40 minutes) and was given a lame excuse about it being their busy season. I explained that if they saw their patients as clients; they might be a little more willing to book appropiately- what business could afford to keep clients waiting an hour or more for an appointment- NONE!!! I will not go back, nor will i recommend this doctor. AWFUL STAFF, and horrendous waits. My time is equally as important as the doctor's....the arrogance to presume otherwise is outrageous, especially early/mid-morning, and in midtown Manhattan!!!

Dr. Lubitz was very professional and knowledgeable, he has been practicing as an allergist for years. If you can stand the wait time--over an hour to be seen, and with waiting in between tests, over two hours spent in this doctor's office midday (admittedly in the height of the allergy season)--I would recommend him.

I absolutely love Dr. Lubitz! I've only visited with him twice and I got so much out of each visit. He's very knowledgeable and thorough. I also love his personality and humor. I have highly recommended him to several of my friends that suffer from asthma and allergies and will continue to do so!!

When I made the appt on ZocDoc, I received a call from Dr. Lubitz within the hour inquiring about my symptoms and wondering why I was not coming in sooner but since I had just been released from the hospital from my asthma I wanted to have seen my pulmonologist before coming to see him. He understood. So when I went for my appointment, Dr. Lubitz and he covered by history very thoroughly, he was conversational and really interested in me feeling better. He apologized for the long wait and said it was because he had a lot of patients that day that were really sick and he is not the type to rush through and i understood because he also took the time with me which I also appreciated. He also help me have a better understanding of my asthma, what can trigger an attack and other things that I'm allergic to. Overall I would say that I had a good visit and would recommend him to others.
