Dr. Barry Cohen MD

I liked my first visit. Dr Cohen was very accessable in the office. In fact a prior customer walked in and the doctor recognized him and fit him in before my appointment. Dr Cohen and his office has more of a boutique feel than your average healthcare provider.

Dr. Cohen is the man, end of story.

He knows what he's doing, he's incredibly efficient (as is his staff), and I've never sat in the waiting room for more than 10 minutes. Great guy. I wish all doctors were like this.

Dr Cohen was extremely helpful and patient. He carefully listened to all of my symptoms and explained precisely what was happening. I did not feel rushed; as a first-time patient, I felt like he genuinely cared about my health and I would be pleased to come back to his office.

Bonus: the office building is opposite Balthazar, where one can treat oneself for having gone to the doctor.

Always feel very comfortable with my appointments. I have never had any major illnesses, but he is always very thorough and is very descriptive and clear with all the information he provides.

My visit to see Dr. Cohen was great. As a busy working professional it is very hard to find time to see a doctor who can fit your schedule. That's exactly what Dr. Cohen offered. He in no way rushed my appointment, he was thorough and quick, and was easy to talk to. As a first time patient, I thought I would have to jump through hoops to get what I needed, but he listened to me, trusted me, and helped me with my problems without having to go through many unecessary routines. I would definitely recommend Dr. Cohen. Furthermore, his calendar seems to have a lot of available appointments, even around the holidays.

He was wonderful! He was a great listener, answered all of my questions, and made me feel completely at ease. I'm originally from a small mid-western town, and have always been used to having a friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, personable GP. It's been hard to find a similar GP in the city (been to four doctors so far without success!), but I'll definitely be going to Dr. Cohen from now on. Really awesome doctor.

Very easy to talk to, especially helpful because I had a lot of things to discuss (symptons, history, etc.). I was even able to get blood drawn in the office without having to go to a lab!

Dr. Cohen is pretty amazing. He's warm, friendly and casual - it's easy to talk to him, and he never comes across as judgmental. It's also super great that you can get your blood work done in his office - no need to go to a diagnostic center! (Also, side note - his office is close to a lot of awesome shops; it's nice to be able to treat yourself a little after a doctor appointment!)

Aside from the fact that I wasn't feeling well (the whole reason I was there), I had a fabulous visit. Dr. Cohen was warm and reassuring, his staff were great, and having arrived to fill out paperwork a bit early, I was being taken into the examining room right at my appointment time.

He was exceptinonally helpful and there was virtually no wait.

I accidentally scheduled my appointment a week later than I thought. Despite this, Dr. Cohen and his staff were more than willing to see me at my incorrect time. He was extremely thorough in his diagnosis and I certainly appreciated his patience and professionalism.

He was very personable and wasn't incredibly rushed like every other Manhattan doctor. And great offices!

Fantastic doctor, was very thorough, was nice enough to squeeze me in despite ZocDoc technical errors (gave me an appt. for when the doctor was going to be away).

Overall all, quite positive. I'm well aware of the need for Doctors to "move patients along"...so to speak. Having said that, I did not feel rushed...good exam...asked all the right questions. My only criticism was the receptionist should have been more prepared to receive a "new" patient in terms of knowing I was new (she did not) and a bit more pleasant initially. However, overall staff was good.
