Dr. Teller and all the staff at Eye Doctors of Washington are excellent! I've been wearing glasses or contacts for about 16 years or so, and I have my fair share of eye issues (astigmatism, strong prescription, etc.). Dr. Teller was very kind and personable, and the appointment was a great experience. I was fitted with a new brand of contacts, and my follow-up appointment was just as enjoyable. I'm happy to have found a permanent eye doctor while I'm living in the DC area!

I was very impressed with Dr. Teller and his staff. This was my first appointment with his office. I had been going to an eye doctor at the local mall for a few years now. After my exam, he advised me that the prescription I was currently wearing was too strong for me. Of course, I disagreed with him (since I seemed to think my prescription was fine and only made an appointment because I wasn't able to order any more contacts from my prior eye doctor without having an eye exam first). However, once I put the new contacts in, it only took my eyes a few minutes to adjust and I couldn't believe how much better my vision was. I'm still sitting here amazed at how much better I can see (especially since I thought I was seeing fine before). And to think all this time I was wearing contacts that were too strong... I guess that explains the daily headaches. :O

I thought the visit went well. The doctor and his staff were friendly and professional. They took the time to talk to me and advise me of all of my options.

Doctor Teller was super nice and helpful and so was his staff. It's just that the wait was a lot longer than I had planned for. My entire appointment took more than 2 hours (not counting how early I arrived) so that was a bit of an inconvenience.

I was generally quite pleased with the service and manner of Dr. Teller and his staff. The intern spent a good deal of time with me examining my eyes. Dr. Teller himself was kind and thorough, and actually took the time to listen. The only downside to my entire visit was with the optical staff in the contacts/glasses section of the practice. The staff member I interacted with tried quite hard to sell me full-price contact lenses (I found the same pair online later that day for 20% less), and made me ask twice before writing out the prescriptions for me (since he wanted to make the sale himself). That sort of sales pitch is unwelcome and unprofessional, and the office as a whole would get my highest rating if not for this type of behavior during the last stage of my visit. Overall, Dr. Teller is a great optometrist. The sales staff in the contact/glasses dept does, however, need a lesson on putting patients first.

Dr.Teller is fantastic, for some reason this morning, the office was running very slow and I waited 25 minutes to actually see a technician, received an in depth consult from an intern, and a very brief visit with Dr.Teller. Although the intern did great, I would prefer to spend more time with the doctor than the intern.

Dr. Teller himself was quite friendly and helpful, but it's his staff that made the visit so pleasant. At most eye doctors you see the actual doctor for maybe ten minutes, so the front office staff and the techs are who you interact with most. In this case, the receptionist, tech, and contact lens guy were all friendly and helpful. Oddly pleasant experience, given that we're talking about a doctor's office. Highly recommended.
