Dr. Bruce Stark is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. In 2009, he became one of the first groups of doctors to be certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Stark is an active member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine. Dr. Stark is most recently a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
Dr. Stark attended the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology and psychology. For medical school, Dr. Stark attended the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Stark returned to Southern California to complete his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Stark’s areas of clinical interest include substance abuse and the treatment of chronic pain. Dr. Stark understands that addiction is a brain disease, that addiction destroys lives and families. Dr. Stark’s motto is “Addiction needs treatment. Treatment works.” He takes a comprehensive, holistic, and compassionate approach in the management of chronic pain and addiction.
Dr. Stark’s most recent interests include anti-aging medicine. Stay tuned for updates in this rapidly developing field of medicine.
Dr. Stark was born and raised in Hollywood, California. He is a proud graduate of Fairfax High School, and now lives locally in Burbank where he and his wife raise their three daughters. His hobbies include surfing, hiking, and playing guitar.
