Dr. Carl Johnson is a board certified general surgeon who specializes in breast, colon, gallbladder, hernia and vascular access procedures. He is trained in the most advanced surgery and utilizes minimally invasive procedures whenever possible, including laparoscopic colon resection, hernia repair, gallbladder removal, appendectomy and more. Dr. Johnson also specializes in wound care and has special interest in cancer surgery.
Dr. Johnson received his medical degree from Howard University Medical School in Washington, D.C., and completed his internship and surgical residency at Howard University Hospital. In 2004, he became a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an active participant in national conferences and served as the District President for the Chicago Medical Society (2008-2009).
