Dr. Carla J. Stelling received a B.S. in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and an M.D. from Albany Medical College in New York. Dr. Stelling completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, a level 1 Trauma center serving the underserved. During her training Dr. Stelling managed extremely high-risk obstetrical patients and advanced gynecologic diseases. She also performed research on cervical cancer screening of adolescents.
Prior to her medical training Dr. Stelling worked with the UCSF AIDS Health Project where she provided client-centered counseling, performed research on sexually transmitted infection, and was a major contributor to the program publications. Stelling also researched the use of Acupuncture in treating pediatric chronic pain.
Dr. Stelling’s interests include Adolescent gynecology, sexual health, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery for treatment of fibroids, pelvic organ prolapse, and endometriosis.

Dr. Stelling was extremely nice and knowledgeable. She was very patient with all of my questions. I felt really comfortable and relaxed talking to her and that's important really important to me. I just hated the wait time, but all in all it was worth finding a good doctor. Hopefully it was just a one off.

As a doctor, she was great. Unfortunately, my appointment was for 3:45P and I wasn't seen until 5:20P, so she did not have the time to answer all of my questions. However, she was quite understanding and empathetic and suggested several options that might suite my needs. She did not try and pressure me to choose one option over another. I will definitely be back.
