Medhattan Immediate Medical Care is a new urgent care facility where you can be seen 365 days/year by a top notch Board Certified Emergency Room Physician. Chris Ingram MD is one of 15 doctors who work at Medhattan. Board Certified in Emergency Medicine since 2001, Chris is on the faculty at Columbia University.
After studying at Williams College and La Sorbonne, Chris obtained his medical degree from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. With 10 years service in the Navy and over 20 years experience in International Emergency Medicine, Chris has made a career commitment to providing medical care to those who need it most.
From treating victims of war and famine in Somalia, to providing emergency medical care to Kurdish refugees at a camp on the Iran/Iraq border to building a hospital for minorities in post war Kosovo, Chris’ work history with Medecins du Monde illustrates his belief that “individual and community health is the cornerstone of human rights”. Chris is happy to care for you at the offices of Medhattan Immediate Medical Care in Downtown NYC.
At Medhattan we do Xrays and labs on site, as well as casting, suturing, IV fluids. We are a great place to come if you can't get a same day appointment with your doctor or have a non life-threatening emergency. We treat kids and adults. Dr. Ingram was just excellent, extremely professional, friendly and really caring. I am a mother of two little ones and he was totally understanding regarding my challenging situation. I had to get healthy soon and after checking me intensively he prescribed me the right medicine. I was so thankful and basically healthy the next day. I would definitely recommend him. I had to wait a little bit (since there was another emergency). His staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and handled the delay super professional.
The clinic was IMMACULATE! It was like being waited on by 4-star hotel staff. Forget going to a PCP- well worth the extra charge!
