I developed an interest in the field of ophthalmology since I was 12 years old. It was at that age that I was diagnosed with myopia and I was prescribed my first glasses. I was fascinated by the medical instruments that my ophthalmologist used to diagnose and treat eye diseases. By the time I was in college I had become interested in pursuing a career as an ophthalmologist, especially after viewing eye surgery. As happens to many people, I did not achieve this goal as quickly as I would have liked. I started my medical career as an internal medicine physician, practicing primary care for four years. With the support of my family, I was fortunate to be able to pursue my original dream of becoming an ophthalmologist. I feel fortunate to be able to do something that I not only enjoy doing, but that many times allows me to help people improve the quality of their lives. I strive to provide competent and compassionate care to all the those whom I am privileged to serve.
