Dr. Hoag sincerely cares about his patients, and enjoys working with a full spectrum of medical concerns from newborns to geriatrics. He believes in teaching
patients how to live a healthy lifestyle through learning about preventative care. He has a sincere desire to help patients understand their ailments, treatments, and test results so that they can make choices to achieve their maximum level of health.
In 1993, Dr. Hoag’s mother passed away after years of battling ovarian and breast cancer. Seeing her challenges cemented his desire to become a physician. In 1995, he began his medical training at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Engrossed in his training, he was honored on the Dean’s List in medical school, and scored in the 95th percentile on the national boards. Top-ranked in his residency, he taught on the faculty at Midwestern University School of Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. Dr. Hoag is board-certified in the specialty of Family Medicine, and among other areas is trained in preventative care, pediatrics, allergies, sports-medicine, adult medicine, and dermatology. He has been in practice since 2002 in his wife’s native state of Arizona.
Dr. Hoag takes great joy in spending time with his wife and their four children. As a family, they love traveling together and attending their children’s wide variety of sports events and extracurricular activities. He also enjoys basketball, reading, and coaching his children’s sports teams.
