Extremely knowledgeable, experienced, personable, Dr. MAY gets five gold stars from me. If you are having mental issues,, he is adept at putting the pieces of your puzzle together. I was impressed with his observations about everything from family dynamics to psych meds because he speaks from his experience but is up to date with his education. He looks happy and healthy and has a laidback demeanor. He does not ask questions by rote. He quickly taps into his keyboard and does not stick you with any paperwork.

My first visit with Dr. May. I liked the fact that he started by providing some insight to the what and whys of my issue to help me understand the "root" my feelings. He often brought back into our discussion some of the things I previously said which proved that he was really hearing and understanding what I said.

I have over 30 years of experience as an MD, and I am a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist who specializes in treating Anxiety, Depression, Panic Attacks, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder and ADD. I have offices in San Francisco and Sausalito. I care deeply about my patients, and make every effort to provide as many treatment options as possible for you to chose from. I work closely with a team of psychologists in our medical group, so we can provide collaborative treatment with both medication management and psychotherapy when indicated. I accept most major health insurance plans so your treatment can be covered by your insurance.

He was very nice and although I have a general belief that psychiatrists have the strangest personalities of all doctors, he did not fit that stereotype at all. He took a full hour with me and asked thoughtful questions and was very professional. He went over several options/action plans for me and explained each one thoroughly. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great psychiatrist.

Yes, he is quite a good doctor.
He is SO RUDE though. He said my language skills are not so good, but never listened to a word I said.
He laughed me off CONSTANTLY, and gave my false information.
I was very upset coming out of there.
The reviews made him out to be the nicest guy in the world.
Not for the sensitive people. Definitely.
