Dr. David Avram MD, FAAD

Always pleased with my visits and treatment from Dr. Avram. He is knowledgeable, personable, and the treatment he's been giving me has been effective in curing a skin problem that I had for over a year and which another dermatologist in the area misdiagnosed. I definitely feel comfortable raising any concerns I have with my skin and receiving a professional answer which is extremely important for a dermatologist.

I went to the office to get checked out and his medical assistant gave me a prescription. When I got home I realized it was not in my name. No big deal right? wrong! I called the office it is so hard to get through. I finally got someone and explained the situation to them only for them to transfer me over to prescriptions with out my permission. When I got to prescriptions I couldn't provide them with the information because it was not in my name. The lady was rude I am not going back!

I had a 9.30am appointment and he showed up at 10.32am. I don't know a one-hour delay can be created so early in the morning. I find it very disrespectful of the patient's time. Other than that, the actual consultation went well, it was fast and to the point.

Usually 10-20 minutes wait time, that is in the morning as well. Then probably another 5-10 minutes waiting once your in the exam room. But I don't think the waiting time was unreasonable for NYC. In any case, I saw Dr. Avram for a rash (ezcema) that another dermotologist misdiagnosed as a sweat rash and as a result had to put up with it way longer than necessary. Dr. Avram diagnosed the condition quickly and prescribed me a cream that worked great. He is also a very nice guy and I felt very comfortable discussing my symptoms and concerns with him.

Dr. Avram was very professional and was able to tend to all my needs on the same visit! Most places make you come back and it takes forever but I was very impressed with his expediency and level of attention.

Nice, friendly and knowledgeable doctor. Easy, quick same day appointment slot availability, short wait, great location. I was a new patient, and I was able to be seen at my lunch time; in & out within an hour including insurance verification. I will continue to see to Dr. Avram for a very long time!

Dr. Avram was really efficient and easy to talk to. He was super clear and good at communicating my options.

The waiting time was about an hour, but the doctor politely appologized as he walked in. The consultation was short and efficent. He had been briefed by his assistant and it took him but a quick look to give me a convincing diagnosis. As there was no seating for the doctor in the consultation room, I guess it's meant to be quick. He rushed in and out, nevertheless kindly provided me with a treatment for one of my problems and had all the basic information written down for me before taken off. All in all it was a satisfying experience with a well trained and gifted though borderline overbooked professional. I'll return for a second session and the follow-up later this year.

Fantastic experience. I was seen immediately and the entire staff was extremely professional. Dr. Avram was very knowledgable and answered all my questions. He told me what to look for and when to see him again.

The lighting in the office was so poor that he could barely see the wart on my foot. I had to point it out to him!!!

Dr. Avram was a very nice guy. Made me feel comfortable and at ease, I just wanted to make sure that a minor skin issue I had was nothing to worry about, but he seemed like he knows what hes doing. I definitely feel more reassured after the visit.

I have been seeing Dr. Avram for years. He has always been professional, courteous and mostly knowledgeable. I have complete trust in him. I now travel from Staten Island to see him where here you have to wait a month or two for an appointment with a good dermatologist as well as a three hour wait in the office.

Dr. Avram wasn't great and he wasn't bad. They scheduled a lot of back to back appointments and it was obvious that people who were there for elective procedures received more face time with the doctor. I probably won't go back.

Basically no wait time and the appointment was short and to the point. I am not sure how much thought he put into the prescriptions he gave me, but we'll see if they work and rethink after the follow-up appointment.

Seemed extremely rushed. The consultation was done too quickly in what seemed like an effort to stay on time. Not a settling feeling.

Super approachable, straight to the point, and very affable.

My wait time was less than 10 minutes, awesome. Unfortunately, so was my actual appointment. I was given a prescription (and maybe what I came in for is an easy diagnosis). I did, however try to ask questions and it seemed like there wasn't really time for answers. Nice staff, nice doctor, nice office.

DR DAVID AVRAM WAS VERY GOOD, AND LEARNING FROM HIM WAS VERY EDUCATIONAL.

Dr. Avram was pleasant and approachable and was very forthright in his explanation of my procedure. He was very gentle during my procedure, which made everything completely painless. I would certainly return to Dr. Avram in the future.

He spent less than 10 minutes in the room - walked in, wrote a prescription, said to come back in a few months if it didn't improve.

I had to wait awhile to see the doctor in the waiting room and again in the examination room. I felt rushed through my consultation. As a result of these concerns, I've looked elsewhere in Brooklyn for a dermatologist.

A little disappointed that he was non-committal about whether what he prescribed would even work. I did not find him at all innovative or even supportive of helping me resolved my issues. With all the hype I'd read, I really expected more after an hour wait outside and another 15-minutes once I was in an exam room.
