David Lichtenstein is a friendly and diligent gastroenterologist serving his patients in Boston. Dr. Lichtenstein is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine to practice gastroenterology. His clinical interests include pancreatic and biliary tract disorders, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, acid-peptic disorders, and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
Dr. Lichtenstein attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Medical School to complete his medical degree. He then completed his residency at the Duke University Hospital. Dr. Lichtenstein participated in a gastroenterology fellowship at the Beth Israel Hospital in 1990, and in 1992, Dr. Lichtenstein completed his advanced endoscopy fellowship at the Duke University Hospital. Many of his gastroenterology consultations are completed within an hour.
Dr. Lichtenstein is currently serving as the Director of the endoscopy program and as an associate professor of medicine at the Boston University’s School of Medicine.
