Patient Reviews for Dr. Dmitry Khasak - MD
He clearly knows his stuff, but came into his own practice about 45 minutes after it was supposed to open, and after my appt. Apparently he does that all the time, so if you have a morning appt don't go to early.
This guy is extremely unprofessional. I went there twice and waited over an hour both times. The second time was to review bloodword and I was the first appointment of the day. I ended up waiting because this man thinks its okay to stroll into work an hour and 15 minutes late. And the review of the bloodwork was not so abnormal that it couldnt be done over the phone. Nobody here is apologetic for the experience and I don't expect that the behavior in this office will change.
I WILL DEFINITELY come back and be seen by Dr. Khasak, as she was absolutely professional and offered me sound advice. Her manner was gentle, kind, warm, understanding and compassionate. She had two other assistants, and I am convinced that they will adopt her great bedside manner. The receptionist (female) was NOT welcoming and you should consider sending her on a course for dealing with the general public (front desk). The gentleman on the front desk was very friendly and welcoming, and she would bode well to emulate him.
1. Does not spend time with you; 2. does not answer your questions; 3. does not explain what he is doing; 4. makes unnecessary procedures without explaining why and giving you the choice to reject it; 5. does not complete the checks that you have asked for but does other things you have not asked for; 6. unprofessional; 7. waiting time is too long.
Expect to wait at least an hour past the appointment time.
awful. waited an hour (as a walk-in), the waiting room had an unpleasant odor. the seat next to me was stained. finally saw the dr who took a quick look at my rash, prescribed me a medication (at my request) and left without explaining anything. very disappointed patient who was in alot of discomfort.
I HIGHLY advise you to NOT see this physician. His staff is a joke -- having personal intimate conversations within earshot of patients; the wait time is horrendous; this doc obviously does not value any of his patients time.
Dr. Khasak seems very knowledgeable and was able to answer most of my questions and concerns.
Hands down one of the worst derms in NYC. The wait time was an hour and some change and the doctor rushed me out like he had something against me. Very unprofessional. I do give credit to the front desk. The front desk workers were very friendly and kind. Too bad the actual doctor was terrible.
all I can said is he the best dermatology he listen to what you has to say and the result of the treatment are great
Dmitry Khasak is a best doctor I ever see. He is very carefully diagnosed the patient and immediately find a solution that improve health. I and my relatives was on doctor Khasak office with different health problems and after his procedures and prescriptions the problem disappears. I highly recommended Doctor Khasak to my friends and my family and everybody who needs dermatologist attention. Olga
I have never had a more terrible doctor's office experience than at Dr. Khasak's office. When I arrived a few minutes early to my appointment, I was told that they do not honor the "internet" appointments and that I would be seen in order of arrival. Which at this point meant THREE HOURS LATER. Yes, three hours when I had already booked an appointment weeks ago and received confirmation. (They also let me know that the doctor doesn't even come in until 30 minutes after the time that I booked - thanks). I live close by and I returned 3 hours later giving them the benefit of the doubt. The waiting room was teeming with people (and someone with a dog that smelled awful). I was then brought back into another waiting room that was standing room only. And I waited another 10 or so minutes. In the office, I was first seen by the P.A. She was lovely - nice and attentive. She asked me some questions and then Dr. Khasak came in without introducing himself or even greeting me. The PA told him what we had discussed and he left. At one point, Dr. Khasak walked in the room (w/o knocking) when I was getting a skin check in my underwear (no apology). He spoke about melanoma and survival rates then left again. As if this weren't enough reason for me to never go back there, the facilities were gross. I wouldn't even get my hair cut in an office like that. Overall, I was completely appalling and I hope that this review prevents others from having the humiliating experience that I did.
Very rushed once in the examination room.
he didnt wasnt all that pleasant but his staff was.
dr was very professional and took a good care of me,very good doctor
it went well...will be going back soon
Both Doctors and PA were fine. Worth the wait even though office was really busy. Just goes to show that good doctors are worth waiting for. Thank you.
Busy but nice atmosphere. Doctor Khasak was very helpful and understanding.
Office is very busy so that goes to show doctor and staff are liked. My experience was fine and I feel that I am in good hands with Dr. Khasak.
Staff was courteous and helpful. Doctor was easy to speak with and understanding. Office is busy but managed.
You wait longer then you actually see the doctor. I would recommend that if you have an appointment to go there as soon as the door open which is at 1:00pm, else you will be there forever. The only thing I can say is that they are open late and they do keep you up to date as how many people are infront of you. The bottom line is they see you for 5 to 10 mins and you wait for over an hour. They just need to work on the TIME other then that I found them to be OKAY
Appointments are meant to be met. Not first come first serve. This office was a joke.
Avoid this doctor at all costs.
