Elana Kastner, M.D., is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist who practices at Women's Contemporary Care Associates and Winthrop-University Hospital. She
has been on the staff of the hospital since 1994 when she graduated from Cornell University Medical College. Her practice consists of pre-conceptual counseling, obstetrics, general gynecology and preventive healthcare. She is fluent in Hebrew and has expertise in the special issues pertaining to Jewish ritual laws of marital intimacy.
Dr. Kastner is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine. She is a member of the full time faculty where she is involved in teaching resident doctors and medical students and had been the director of the fourth year students' medical subintership for over ten years.
Dr. Kastner is active in the North American Society for pediatric and adolescent gynecology, where she has presented poster publications on issues pertaining to young women's health. She has a special interest in adolescent care and frequently lectures in the community about issues pertaining to young adult women.
