Dr. Gregory Bernstein MD, FACS

Professional Statement

Dr Gregory Bernstein attended Boston University School of Medicine, Boston MA and graduated in 1998. Prior to attending medical school, he also earned a Master of Arts in Medical Science from Boston University School of Medicine, Boston MA in 1994.

Having attended medical school on a Health Professions Scholarship from the US Army, Dr Bernstein went on to do his internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. Following internship, he spent two years as a General Medical Officer. Dr Bernstein then returned to Walter Reed Army Medical Center where he completed his urology residency in June of 2006.

Following residency, Dr Bernstein was assigned to Dewitt Army Hospital, Fort Belvoir VA where he served as the Chief, Urology for 5 years. During this time he was named as an Assistant Professor of Surgery, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD. In addition to practicing at Dewitt Army Hospital, Dr Bernstein held privileges and actively practiced urology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Malcolm Grow Medical Center.

In June 2011, Dr Bernstein resigned his commission from the US Army in order to join Dr Mordkin and Dr Joel at Washington Urology. Dr Bernstein is currently a member of the Virginia Hospital Center medical staff. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
