Dr. Insel's passion is preventive cardiology, a topic on which he frequently lectures. He also leads by example and embraces these principles into his own personal lifestyle. Dr. Insel graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University before receiving his Doctor of Medicine at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Insel completed his fellowship in cardiology at Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Insel is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
