Dr. Donev graduated from Fordham University and received her medical degree from Catholic University School of Medicine in Rome, Italy. She then completed two years of internal medicine and her ophthalmology residency at Columbia University College of
Physicians and Surgeons, Harlem Hospital Center, where she was chief resident. Dr. Donev then performed one year of subspecialty training in cornea diseases and surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. As chief of the cornea service for ten years at Columbia University, College of Physicans and Surgeons, Harlem Hospital Center, Dr. Donev oversaw patient care and assisted ophthalmology residents with cataract and cornea surgery.
Dr. Donev is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the New York State Ophthalmological Society.
Dr. Donev has been in private practice in New Rochelle for over twenty years. She has participated in mentor programs and has performed community presentations sponsored by Sound Shore Medical Center.

The receptionists were kind and efficient. There was some 30 minutes waiting time until we were seen. The initial professional was very kind and through. Then Dr. Donev came in the room and did further checking. She is also very kind professional and appears knowledgable. Parking costs $3.00. The office is in a 2nd floor without elevator.
