Dr. Turco is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and completed her residency training at NYU School of Medicine. I work with adults and adolescents who are interested in a unique and integrative approach to mental health and well-being. I have both extensively studied and practiced integrative health and healing and mind body medicine. Factors such as nutrition and lifestyle will be considered for every individual. I find that this approach is particularly helpful for people suffering from past traumatic experiences, anxiety, and depression, but can also be beneficial for almost anyone. I provide both therapy and medication management. Therapeutic sessions can incorporate mindfulness training and stress reduction techniques. My current practice also encompasses a focus on women's health care and the unique challenges that women face throughout the lifespan.
I spent time as the Associate Director and then Interim Director of Bellevue's Psychiatric Emergency Department. I have expertise in diagnostic assessment, Reproductive Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, and acute crisis management and counseling. I am currently an associate clinical professor on faculty at NYU School of Medicine where I teach and supervise physicians in training. In addition, I work for the NYU WTC Medical Monitering Program which provides care to 9/11 First Responders.
