Dr. Jamison Jaffe DO

Professional Statement

Dr. Jamison Jaffe is Director of Robotic Surgery and Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital and Drexel University College of Medicine. He serves as an Assistant Professor in both the departments of Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Drexel University College of Medicine. After graduating from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, he obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Jaffe completed his general surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA and his urologic surgery residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Albert Einstein Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in minimally invasive and robotic urologic surgery at the prestigious L' Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris, France, where the laparoscopic prostatectomy was pioneered under the direction of Professor Guy Vallencien, MD.

Dr. Jaffe's urologic interests include minimally invasive and robotic treatment for prostate, bladder and kidney cancer. He serves on the Cancer Committee and Surgical Pathology Review Committee at Hahnemann University Hospital and has numerous presentations and publications related to his expertise in minimally invasive and robotic urologic surgery. He has received many honors and awards for his clinical work and teaching, including Philadelphia Magazine's Top Doctor for the last three years.

Personally, Dr. Jaffe enjoys running and playing ice hockey, soccer and golf. He lives in Montgomery County with his wife and three children. He sees patients at the Einstein Medical Center Montgomery and Hahnemann University Hospital offices. …
