Welcome to Doctors Express Urgent Care! Our Lead Physician, Dr. Jason Richard, is Board Certified in Family Medicine. After graduating from Midwestern University-Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and successfully completing his residency with Scottsdale Healthcare-Family Medicine, he relocated to Northern Arizona to work in a rural Urgent Care / Family Medicine center.

His interest in Urgent Care started early in his medical training and residency. This training and residency formed a strong foundation for emergency and urgent care medicine with added concentration in occupational health, travel, sports and wilderness medicines. The diversity of patients and diagnosis as well as the need to fill a void in medical care between what is treated by primary care physicians and emergency departments in the community has fueled his enthusiasm and excitement for Doctors Express in Phoenix.

He currently holds Board Certification in Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, Board Certification in Family Medicine from the American Academy of Family Physicians, Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Certification, and American Safety and Health Institute Pediatric Advanced Life Support (ASHI PALS) Certification.
