I've been a patient of Dr. Buckner's for many years. He is the most professional of any of my doctors, but in a very relaxed way. He gets to the core of the problem while recommending other expert doctors for medical issues that require specialization. I saw Dr. Buckner for a terrible cough because he took my insurance. The office is quite small and doesn't look very professional, but Dr. Buckner himself is on the faculty of NYU Langone and was nice. The physical exam could have been a bit longer (he didn't feel my glands or check my sinuses), but the end result would have been the same: a dose of antibiotics.

Dr. Buckner is extremely knowledgeable and patient, explaining things in very accessible terms. He also doesn't rush you, which is reassuring. All I can say is that I feel that I am in very safe, good hands with Dr. Buckner, which is an all too rare feeling if you've been pinged from specialist to specialist. I will sleep easier tonight knowing he is on my side.

Dr Welby exists and he is Jeff Buckner. Felt terrible, called Dr Buckner, he asked me about my symptoms over the phone, we discussed and he fit me in for an appointment the next day. Jeff is old fashioned. He wants to look at the whole person and the history. When he refers you to a specialist, you know your getting the best.

I was very impressed both by how thorough Dr. Buckner was and by his sense of humor. I felt very comfortable being seen by him, both because he set me personally at ease, and because he seemed to give careful consideration to me as a patient -- for instance, taking a history himself instead of just having me fill out a form.

Seemed quite knowledgable, articulate and friendly. He made sure to ask me several times if there was something else that I'd like to ask him about. Also, I had emailed him to confirm the appointment, and his response was pretty timely. The office was noticably less shiny and modern than some of the other doctors offices in Manhattan, but that's not a big issue for me.

I hate to say this, because he seemed to be a nice guy. But between him and his medical assistant, they gave me a not so good first impressiion.I had a 8:45am appointment. I got there at 8:30am, the door to the office locked and nobody around? at 8:50am the Medical assistant showed up as I wait in the hallway. He arrived at about 9:15am Late. He consoltation was fine. but at the end I felt rushed as I swictched rooms he had another person in his office, I went back to his office and he grabed my Jacket quickly with my phone and other stuff on it went on the floor and in pieces. I felt obiviously rushed out. Sorry to say I won't be back.

I have seen Dr. Buckner for 20 years; he is intelligent, sympathetic and considerate, and knows how to listen (unlike some doctors!). His assistant, Linda, is wonderful. It is easy to set up appointments, he can usually see you within a day or two, which helps if you are sick, and you won't find yourself waiting endlessly to see him -- the time of your appt. is when he will see you, give or take 5 or 10 minutes every once in a while. He's been my doctor for over 15 years and he is the best doctor I've ever had in 60 years. Not only is he a great doctor in his own right, but he knows the best specialists in the City (NYU, Beth Israel, etc.), so when you have a health problem that his specialties don't cover, he can refer you to a colleague who will be able to take good care of you.

I have several chronic conditions which require frequent visits for prescriptions etc. I am always seen promptly, rarely wait more than a few minutes. When I first came to see Dr. Buckner he took an extremely detailed history (no form involved) asked what seemed like all the right questions. My first visit with him was awesome and I have been seeing him for a number of years now. If you are sick you generally can see him immediately (with no wait). I see comments about the decorating style of his office, which makes no sense. It's a drs office. His assistant Linda is wonderful, seems to have all she needs to do her job, the office has chairs, magazines, art work, plants and a coat rack. I don't know what else people expect. Dr. Buckner reminds me of my GP from when I was a child, someone who actually cares about the person sitting across from him. He remembers your personal life situations and seems to honestly CARE about YOU.

Dr. Buckner is a wonderful doctor. Always patient and caring. Seems to realize "real life" has an effect on the numbers on your chart and actually listens to all that is bothering you not just your current condition. Dr. Buckner is the most understanding doctor I have ever met. The wait is never long but, however, if you need the time with him he freely gives it. Dr. Buckner has been my primary care physician for about 15 years; that should attest to the respect and positive feelings toward him that I have. He LISTENS completely, and responds to his patients' needs with the utmost consideration and compassion. If I were ever dying of some horrible disease, I'd want him to be the doctor checking in on me. I can't speak highly of this man; he ennobles his profession like no other doctor I have met with. I can't speak more highly of his assistant, Linda, either.

I found Dr. Buckner on my insurance directory and then read the reviews here. Dr. Buckner is by far the best doctor I ever visited. Not only he's a pro, he's also kind, informative, and cares about the patient like nobody else. Unlike other clinics (especially in NYC) where you feel like a worthless piece on the money-making conveyor belt, Dr. Buckner makes you feel important, worthy, and human being. If you don't have a primary doctor yet or if you're sick of your current one - Dr. Buckner is hands-down your best bet.

Dr. Buckner is a very forthcoming, practical and warm physician. He's not one to push prescriptions just because you want a fix. He clearly explains what's going on and what his opinion is on the matter leaving you to make your own decision. He's practical and smart and recognizes the importance of the feedback of his patient. He's great.

The office is a dump with food all around the reception area. Dr. Buckner is non-responsive and was less than interested in my symptoms. I do not recommend him to other patients.

Dr. Buckner was pleasant, helpful and extremely friendly- putting me at ease instantly and setting him apart from the masses of conveyor belt doctors. I plan on using him as my new GP and would recommend his services to anyone searching for a personal touch! -alyssa f.

Dr. Bruckner was very helpful and very interested in hearing my thoughts on the issue. He referred me to another physician and took the time to call his office and get me the appt for tomorrow. I liked him and would go absolutely go back to him.

Not sure if integrity is a general requirement to be a good physician, but it is generally regarded as a requirement to be a decent person. Dr Bruckner might want to brush up on his "honesty in medicine" skills.

The office facilities weren't much to look at and I had to wait a considerable amount of time for his assistant to take a blood sample, but I really liked Dr. Buckner. He was very thorough and most important, an excellent interviewer/listener. Also, the specialists he referred me to for additional tests were top notch.

Dr. Bruckner is triple board certified and has excellent credentials. He was just as impressive in person. I went in for a consult on a low thyroid and think he will be my new GP as well.
