The office staff were helpful, I had been for regular eye exam. Two technicians conducted a series of tests, did the readings and prepared my case. The Doctor was very knowledgeable and also suggested a test for my retina - the technician was kind enough to give me a color printout of the same.
I was hoping that the Doctor would also conduct a reading as in my past experiences with other doctors, they do the detailed reading of the charts. Here, the tehcnician did the reading and she told me that she has been doing this for over 20 years, so I guess it should be ok. Also, they do not force you to buy any frames/lenses etc.
Quite friendly people, would definitely suggest this doctor as he is well qualified and knowledgable. One more thing, they also give you 15% off frames and lenses if you like the Doctor on facebook (which is great).

The visit was good. He was great and even though there was a bit of a wait, he apologized and explained the situation. He was very friendly and personable. I am happy with this doctor.
However, the guy who works with filling the eye glass prescriptions was smug and rude. Getting answers to my questions was like pulling teeth and he did not offer up any additional information so I had to keep probing with my questions. He behaved as if I irritated him by just my very presence. This was an a great example of extremely poor customer service; I felt violated and offended.
Such a sharp contrast from my experience with Dr. Katzman. Needless to say because of this man's behavior I will not get my prescription for glasses filled there and it's too bad because it is an all in one stop shop convenience but I don't want to feel that awful feeling again.

More about Dr. Jeffrey I. Katzman, MD
Dr. Katzman graduated from Brooklyn College in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. Dr. Katzman attended New York Medical College from which he received his medical degree in 1972. He completed a straight medical internship at Metropolitan Flower and Fifth Avenue Hospitals in New York City. He and his wife, Barbara, moved to Houston, Texas where he did a fellowship and residency in ophthalmology concluding in 1977. In his last year of residency, he was Chief Resident.
Dr. Katzman and his family moved to Philadelphia where he served as Lieutenant Commander in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Philadelphia Regional Medical Center. In his final year, he was assistant chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology.
Upon concluding his tour of duty with the United States Navy, Dr. Katzman started his practice in the King of Prussia area. While Dr. Katzman’s practice has focused on cataract surgery and implantation of intraocular lenses, the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease, he continues to perform routine pediatric, adolescent and adult eye examinations. He has performed over 5,000 cataract operations with implantation of intraocular lenses in his 30-plus year career.
Dr. Katzman is Board Certified in Ophthalmology (1978). He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Medical Association, Pennsylvania Medical Association, and the Greater Philadelphia Ophthalmology Society.
He is a member of the Wills Eye Surgery Hospital, Paoli Memorial Hospital, Temple University Hospital, Montgomery Hospital, and Mercy Suburban Hospital. He is also a member of the Main Line Health/Jefferson Health Care System.
Dr. Katzman performs surgery at the Wills Eye Surgery Center in Plymouth Meeting and the Paoli Surgical Center, of which he is chair of the Ophthalmology Section.
He and his wife, Barbara, have been married since 1970. They have three children and a set of identical twin granddaughters.
He enjoys spending time with his family and traveling with his wife. He also enjoys listening to music, reading, photography and biking.

I have been a patient of Dr. Katzman for many years. I have tried several other opthamologists, but no one is as good as Dr. Katzman. I have to drive sixty miles in each direction to see him, but it is worth it.
