Dr. Jonathan Criss MD

Dr. Criss was great. I saw him for a possible rejection for a cornea transplant. I was in the process of finding a new cornea specialist but had this come up before I could. He was definitely able to manage the emergency visit and sat in this office with me and helped me find a new cornea specialist and book an appointment with the in the same week for urgent follow up. The office is nice and staff was pleasant.

Competent and profession and a very good communicator. He explained everything, answered all of my questions and put me at ease.

Dr. Criss was knowledgable and seemed to provide a thorough exam. He seemed a bit rushed when it came time to giving me a prescription, though (I've never had a prescription before). The office is nice.

Jonathan did a great job with the exam. I've been to other eye doctors before and the number of test machines in the office as well as the ability of the doctor made a big difference. In the past the prescriptions I've gotten haven't always been great but this one was perfect. Thanks!

Well, at first I was nervous and not feeling very well. This is not unusual whenever I see any kind of doctor, but Dr. Criss, MD, was really cool and treated me well. He explained my medical situation fully and told me of all possible outcomes in the near future. So I look forward to seeing Dr. Criss again, and working on my opthamological situation. Thanks!

I had severe eye problems one day. I looked up a doctor in my area (close to me, since I was practically blind) and found Dr. Criss. Although I had to wait, he was apologetic, and explained what had happened, and advised what could be done to alleviate the pain. He checked on me a few days later to make sure I was OK. I was very much relieved that my issue was handled with care.

Good eye exam. Dr. Criss met me in the lobby exactly on time and did a great job.

He speaks Spanish, at least a little. I understood him and helped me understand my condition. To ease my tension about my condition, he advised me to re-scheduled again in a few weeks to check up on me and that has made me very secure. Also , he prescribed to me some eye drops that will help my condition get better faster. I would recommend him.

Very thorough. Went through all the checks to see what was wrong with my eyes. Nice and professional. Didn't have to wait, but my appt was first thing at 830am. Not sure what the wait would be if it was near the end of the day.

Not very talkative, but he was quick, thorough, and very helpful...he gave me what I needed even though I had forgotten some paperwork, which saved me from having to make another trip to his office. I also didn't get any sales pitches / pressure to buy glasses or contacts on the spot. All in all, a great visit.

Dr. Criss made you feel immediately at ease upon greeting and throughout the examination. The reception staff is friendly and exam rooms tidy. The Union Square office space looks great and is in a very convenient location. I'm glad I chose to get my eyes examined here.
