My residency in Internal Medicine at NYU Medical Center and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center have
prepared me to handle various common diseases that afflict almost all of us at one point or the other as well as in handling lung diseases and critical care cases.…
Both times I saw her she arrived extremely late. As in - she didn't even show up to her office until an hour after her first appointment so everyone was seen very late. The first time she didn't even mention it - the second time was longer and she apologized. She also took my previous diagnosis for granted although I am not sure it is accurate - maybe it is but I did not feel as if enough time was taken to really assess it. She also ran some tests without even explaining to me why or what for or the details of the results (I had to ask the nurse/assistant).
She was friendly so the visit wasn't totally awful but it certainly wasn't what I would hope for.

The examination room was a little cluttered and cramped, but it's Manhattan, so space is scarce. The staff was very friendly, and the billing department was very accommodating.
AWFUL! She was always mediocre at best, but the most recent visits are so bad that it cannot be ignored and I will be switching physicians. Her staff are untrained and inexperienced family members. The doctor herself is ALWAYS late at least 20 minutes no matter if I have a morning appointment or not. She is cold and unapologetic about the wait. The office is a big, outdated mess. The machines are at least 30 years old, some of which are no longer considered to be medically accurate (I also work in a physicians office as a practice manager and have several family members who are physicians). She unnecessarily makes you agree to several tests, and then later tells you the cost is additional. Furthermore, the doctors to whom she refers you are also all awful!! It's easy to book an appointment thanks to ZocDoc, but that's the nicest thing I can say about Dr. Samson.

i wasn't very impressed- i know she's in the lenox hill hospital circuits, but the lobby was nice- the actual doctors office was subpar, and the process/equipment didn't seem up to date.

I am not picky with being efficient, but she was so rushed when I was the only person she had to see in the particular time frame. Her instruments were all outdated (I am sure they were all calibrated, but they could be inaccurate in readings). She cut me off in the middle of trying to tell her my medical history, basically rushing me into an EKG. When I told her about my allergies, she asked no further questions and just prescribed me the usual meds every doctor prescribes. She was so rushed that the appointment only took 15 minutes. I also do not like that blood work must be done in another location (a lab) and follow up is another appointment. It seems she only cares about the money and getting the appointment over with.

This was the most humiliating, frustrating, and terrible doctor visit I have ever had. I was a new patient, and Dr. Samson came out to announce my name, and before I could get up to walk toward her disappeared into her office. She didn't introduce herself. She asked me all of my medical history questions with the office door open, and without any poise or consideration, while staring at her computer and not making eye contact. She was never say what was next or why, just get up and leave one office and expect me to follow her to the next. When she did the exams she told me concerning news. As a very healthy young person who never gets such news I was somewhat scared and upset with the news. She did not ask if I had questions, or give me further information about whether or not to be concerned, she just left the room again. When I returned to her office from the exam room, she gave me two lab referrals and three prescriptions without telling me what she thought was wrong with me (I had come in with sinus symptoms) or where to get the labs done. As I was trying to ask her for clarification, she got up and walked out to the waiting area, and loudly told the receptionist to give me lists of places for all the doctors and labs I needed (which was very personal information). And then walked away without saying thank you, good bye, follow up, etc. I left the office feeling worse, anxious and crying. It was terrible. I would never recommend these services to anyone.

She was lovely but I am afraird to say that her offices were hideous.
They are cramped, and unkempt. Great address right off 5th avenue, but the space is in dire need of a complete renovation. Rugs were curling up from what looked like a flood, old furniture ( all looked like she had gotten from the salvation army or found on the street). Interior was a real mess. I could not recommend her to anyone because they would be horrified by the environment. I'm not saying the offices were dirty. But they looked dirty and at one point, I almost walked out, because I thought, what kind of judgement could this doctor have to have such a mess of a place. I didn't leave because I needed to get my asthma meds. Sorry to say it, but this was my experience.

Dr. Samson was very thorough in her exam and in questioning about my past and family history. I was able to sit with her in her office first which was nice. She was very friendly and I feel I've found my new GP!
