Really, Dr. Jude is the IDEAL DOCTOR! Although he was quite busy, I never felt rushed. A consummate professional, he understands the value of communication and information. I was extremely nervous about my 1st appointment with an urologist. Not only was he gentle and respectful in his examination, he proactively asked me many questions about my condition to ensure his full understanding. He took his time and talked to me like a person rather than as a bother. Unlike many doctors, he didn’t just say “Uh-huh, uh-huh. Ok, here’s my prescription.” Along with providing me with a quick anatomy lesson, he layered his diagnosis with statistics for comparison and explained the reasons for his planned treatment. He answered questions that I didn’t even know I had. Also, Dr. Jude could have easily pushed expensive surgeries, but he didn’t and he explained why. I trust this doctor explicitly. I wish I could say that about all of my doctors. I could not have asked for a better experience!
I'm not from NY and this was my first visit to a urologist so obviously I was afraid. Dr. Barbera explained my condition to me very well. Great doctor! Very knowledgeable. He has the New York attitude which could make some people think he's rude but I felt like he was really on top of his speciality. Very efficient. If you want a doctor who won't waste your time Dr. Barbera is your Doc.
