I love Dr. Hellman. She is very friendly and professional. She listened to my needs and I thought she was very thorough. I will definitely be using her as my dermatologist!

Reception staff was not very impressive - seemed a bit disorganized and asked me the same questions multiple times. Waiting time was 30 minutes which I was not thrilled with. Judith, however, was wonderful. She recommended a few items for my breakouts and gave me a prescription; she mentioned I was using the completely wrong approach to my skincare, but didn't try to push any products. She was extremely likable and easy to talk to. Let's hope her recommendations work too!

She sort of brushed off my concerns and statements and made her own conclusions without hearing me out. Despite what I was describing, it seems that she made up her mind and was ready to conclude my session. I didn't bother talking more despite only being there for 10-15 minutes in her office.

I made a last-minute appointment with Dr. Hellman for today. She was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and very very thorough. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dermatologist.

Thought she was very friendly. She spent the majority of the visit trying to sell me additional services rather than addressing the issues that I came in to ask about.

One of the receptionists was really nice, but the other was a little more coarse and didn't seem to understand how to process my insurance information. In the end, it seems they got it right, although I waited for almost a half-hour. Dr. Hellman was very cheerful and nice, but thorough and straight forward. I will be going back to her.

She was very thorough and very kind. Excellent bedside manners. I highly recommend her. I didn't have to wait long and her secretary was awesome and very caring.

I made an appointment with this doctor for a second opinion to rule out a more serious skin disorder after the first dermatologist I saw gave me just topical cream and said it was just dry skin. During the 1st appt, she spent less than a minute looking at my skin, said she would bet a large wager that its not the serious skin condition I was worried about and asked me to return after 3 weeks of no medication (essentially to discontinue the topical cream the 1st dermatologist had prescribed). At the 2nd appt 3 weeks later, she spent less than a minute and blurted "it could very well be the serious condition you are worried about, but I am not sure". I was devastated and she prescribed another topical cream and wanted me to come back after a month. I set up an appt with a 3rd doctor, who was very patient and explained that it wasn't anything serious after a thorough inspection. After 2 months, the condition is all but gone. For Dr. Hellman to go back and forth without a thorough inspection or diagnosis is appalling. I am not sure if any good doctor would tell a patient that they might have a serious problem if a) they are not unsure b) the patient came in worried about having that problem. Being a good doctor is also about managing communication with the patient and providing thrm with a sense of confidence. If I were in her position, I would first take all necessary steps to completely rule out anything serious before I ever say it might be a big problem. Never again will I visit this doctor or recommend her to anyone.

Great experience. Wait was about 25 minutes, but it was worth it. Dr. Hellman was very professional and courteous, warm, and the appointment didn't feel at all rushed. The wait is a small price to pay in order to have a good dermatologist pay full attention to you! Office staff was all super friendly, office view was phenomenal too. The waiting area is a bit small and it could feel crowded when full, but there weren't many people waiting when I was there. Overall, great experience, doctor seems pretty knowledgeable and hands on, didn't push any products or try to sell anything. Highly recommended.

Dr. Hellman was great - very professional and provided excellent care. Non-judgmental which is rare for a NYC dermatologist. The office staff, however, are awful and don't know how to keep appointment times. I waited over an hour and a half for my appointment which was unacceptable.

I came because of my eczema, which I've had since I was a baby and it was worse than ever before. She looked at me with doubt, half-scoffed and said "how do you know it's eczema?" Then when she looked at it and agreed, she wrote me a prescription to an extremely expensive cream and that was it. She didn't spend any time with me, give me any tips on how to improve it, or provide any alternatives in case I couldn't afford the prescription she gave me (which I couldn't). Definitely not going back.

She was so sweet! I kind of thought she was adorable, completely put me at ease. Her staff was nice and she was great. There was a lot of skin rejuvenation available but no one was pushy about it. Plus a testament to them I think that there were several people checking in and out for things like microdermabrasion or laser with the estheticians. Very pleased with my visit and I will return to her.

Front office continues to be of concern. I was asked to come earlier than my appointment time of 6:00, then didn't see the doctor until nearly 7. I had to ask my boss to leaves the office early do that I could sit in a crowded waiting room. I also do not like being asked to pay for services before I see the doctor. Shouldnt the service be performed first and to the patient's satisfaction?

I found Dr. Judith Hellman online (I recently moved to New York and was looking for a nearby dermatologist) and, since I didn't know any of her previous patients, I wasn't sure what to expect. The office was really nice, and the receptionists were super friendly! The waiting time was maybe 5-10 minutes, but the receptionists kept me busy with conversation. Dr. Hellman was super friendly, funny, and had a great personality! I've seen many dermatologists, but really enjoyed going to Dr. Hellman! I just booked appointment number 2! :)

Dr. Hellman is fantastic. She takes the time to talk with you and get to know the patient. I arrived a few minutes early to fill out my paperwork and was seen right on time. Highly recommend.

I felt that more attention was given to sales of laser services than what I came for.Dr Hellman is caring but has a forceful manner. I felt unheard so I went to another Dr.for my follow- up.

This was my second appointment with Dr. Hellman, and I was seen immediately. She really makes going to the dermatologist a delight.

I went to see Dr. Hellman about a small rash on my neck. I waited an hour for my appointment to then feel slightly rushed whilst in it. I left not asking everything i needed so I quickly ran back in to double check on something. She was kind enough to see me again for a few minutes. When I expressed my issue she then said I was fine and what I should worry about was the wrinkles in my forehead and that I should get botox. I am a 32 year old female. I take good care of my skin. I have never been more insulted. I went in for a completely different issue and was told this. I am not even going to take the cream she prescribed, especially from someone who pushes something as unnatural as botox to someone my age. I will never go back there and will never recommend her to anyone. Completely inappropriate.

Her bedside manner was horrible and I felt rushed through the whole appointment. When I asked her about solutions for my skin issues, she told me to visit her website and see what products she sells and I can come back AGAIN to discuss. Isn't it the doctor's job to diagnose? I will never go back--it was an awful experience.

My visit with Dr. Hellman was absolutely wonderful. She is incredibly kind, very sociable, and made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout the appointment. She clearly articulated the different treatment options and helped me make the most appropriate decision. I will certainly revisit Dr. Hellman for any subsequent Dermatology appointments.

Very thorough- she was running a little behind but she spends a TON of time with you so it's worth the wait. Very frank and easy going. Gives you plenty of options and is careful without being excessive. Good at walking you through the pros and cons of different treatments

Dr. Hellman is a very nice dermatologist. She is the first dermatologist to examine other areas of my body for problem areas other than my face and actually explained to my why I'm getting my acne. Although it took less than 10 minutes to actually see her, the office is very nice with giving out samples and coupon cards if you don't have insurance.

Dr. Hellman is not familiar with african american skin. She told me one thing when I clearly knew it was the exact opposite. She was pleasant and really sweet. I did not like that she was pushing her nonsense products on me. I bought one cream to get her off my back.

I would not recommend this dermatological to anyone. To start off the waiting area was VERY small I had to keep moving out the way in order for people to get pass. The office looked like it was under renovations, there was dust in the waiting area which I found interesting being it was a dermatologist office. However Dr Hellman was friendly but she spent less than 4 mins with me because she had so many patients book at the same time. She didn't even ask me if I had any other concerns. And I found it odd that there was a coffee maker sitting on top of the counter next to the syringes. The only good thing about this place is the friendly staff.

Staff was professional and helpful, Dr. Hellman was very attentive and listened to my concerns. She is very knowledgeable and did not push me to buy any of her products (although they're great and are recommended!)

she is quick and professional. there was a suspicious mole on my back that worried me for a couple of months. she checked it, diagnosed there is a high chance it's pre-cancerous and removed it on the spot. will come again for a follow up appointment in her office.

I was a little bit disappointed since she seemed more interested in selling her own branded line rather than genuinely wanting to resolve my issues. I had to work hard to try to get her to recommend any over the counter creams or medication, even prescription and the reply to everything was, "we have our own product here for that". So all in all I felt more like I was in a spa rather than a doctor's office...

I went during lunch on a Thursday after having booked my appointment just that morning, so I was expecting to wait. I was pleasantly surprised that I was in and out of her office in 30 minutes and she took the time to really examine me and answer all my questions. Highly recommend!

I had some issues setting this up (they automatically rescheduled me for a time I couldn't do). We found another time the same day that worked but I did have to wait about 25 mins. Once I got in, however, Doctor was very professional and had very personable bedside manner.

After reading some very mixed reviews online I was a little hesitant to make an appointment with Dr. Hellman, but I could get in right away so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived there were a number of other patients waiting. I figured there must be another doctor working, because I was on time for my appointment. Unfortunately I was wrong. Her office is also being remodeled so there is dirt and white dust everywhere. Being that I have asthma I found it very hard to breathe. After waiting 30 minutes in the cramped waiting area I asked the receptionist how much longer. She told me just a few more minutes... 25 minutes later she told me the same thing ect. Long story short eventually after waiting a total of an hour and 40 minutes I was called back. Dr. Hellman only spent about 10 minutes with me and most of it was her trying to sell me expensive products and laser treatments that I didn't need. Waste of time and money!

Dr. Hellman is great. She has a good sense of humor and puts patients at ease. She is frank and upfront about treatment options and I'm very pleased with my experiences. I began seeing Dr. Hellman for a medical issue, and subsequently took her advice for treating some persistent acne. Sure enough,something that had bugged me for many years vanished within a week. The new office location is great, and staff extremely nice and helpful.
