Dr. Leigh was born in Moscow, Russia, and came to the United States in 1987. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland with degrees in electrical engineering and mathematics, she completed medical school at Johns Hopkins University. Next, she received training in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois at Chicago residency program. Finally, she went on to the Proctor Foundation at the University of California, San Francisco to obtain further subspecialty training in uveitis, cornea and external disease. In the summer of 2007 she returned to the Washington, D.C. area to join the staff of Northern Virginia Center for Eye Care.
Dr. Leigh provides care in her specialty, uveitis (inflammatory diseases of the eye), as well as in general ophthalmology, including routine eye examinations, diabetic examinations, glaucoma evaluations, and cataract surgery. In addition to her practice, she also volunteers at the Lions Eye Clinic at Fairfax Hospital. Dr. Leigh is fluent in Russian and Spanish.
