Patient Reviews for Dr. Jyoti Chakote - MD
Love the bedside manner and took the time out to listen to my questions that were in addition to my reason for visiting. Would highly recommend this husband and wife team.
I went to this doctor in August, and it was a terrible experience. He tried to run 5-6 different kinds of tests on me (I'm pretty sure so he could bill my insurance). I went in with a complaint of nausea (no other symptoms), and among other things, he told me that I needed an EKG on my heart - absolutely unrelated. In the waiting room, I noticed that everyone was subjected to a similar number of tests; all of the patients were shuffled back and forth between treatment rooms and the waiting room, evidently between multiple rounds of random tests. I called to cancel my follow-up appointment (which I was pressured into making by the staff), and in the past three months, his staff has called me at least 10 times to make appointments, including twice today. I'm convinced this place is a scam - would stay away if I were you.
I waited almost an hour to be seen. I later found out that the computer system had crashed, so a bit of a delay I understand. An hour is still pushing it though. Once inside, the Dr. was brief, seemed rushed, and only spoke to me for 2 minutes before passing me along to another staff member for a series of tests. I asked about the relevance of this seemingly unnecessary 30-40 minute series of tests and was given a very ambiguous answer, and the doctor was on a cell phone while speaking to me. The staff member could not answer any of my questions. Overall, the office seemed extremely frazzled, hectic and disorganized. I had to request to see the doctor again after my testing so I could get a prescription.
I was very impressed with the Doctor's attention, he was very professional and thorough. I have already recommended him to a family friend. But I think the office personnel need be more professional, patient-focused/friendly,following up the Doctor's recommendation/instructions about patient. Otherwise I had a great first experience with the Doctor. Thank you
He seemed distracted and not present. Also, i went there o get a prescription and the next thing I knew he had ordered an EKG and heart sonogram! He didn't explain why this was necessary for the prescription I needed and the technicians told me they were just following orders. i couldnt wait for the whole experience to be over.
Staff were great and super nice, Dr could've been a little more pleasant and welcoming.
