Dr Kama Ramani was very professional. He spoke Japanese with his receptionist which I thought was pretty cool. I was a new patient. There was no one else in the waiting area. I filled out some paper work and saw the doctor in 10 to 15 minutes. The nurse saw me first and checked my height and weight. They have a touch less fever checker which was great. When I saw Dr Ramani he thoroughly checked all of my symptoms and prescribed me medication for my infection.

I showed up late and the nurse took me in to take my vitals and two minutes later the doctor came into the room. the staff is very friendly. I will be coming back. it was very easy to talk to the doctor. He made me feel comfortable. Very knowledgeable. I can only say good things. I couldn't find one thing wrong. Dr. Ramani is a great guy, very intelligent, and quite thorough. He feels like a childhood friend the moment you meet him. In a city filled with GP's who overbook their appointments and only want to get as many patients in (and out) the door as possible, he seems in no rush whatsoever. he takes his time and makes certain you are attended to with the highest level of professionalism I have ever seen. The office was great and clean! I accidentally booked an appt this morning for next Tuesday thinking that it was for today (Thursday), so when I showed up for my "appointment" today, the staff still said I could see the doctor if I didn't mind waiting. The staff was very friendly and took my blood pressure, weight, height well before my appt so I wasn't waiting idly. Something that I've NEVER seen before, is that the staff would walk up to the actual patients in the waiting room if they had additional paperwork to fill out. This is really minor, but usually the receptionists will just ask the patient to come back to the front desk, etc. Perhaps it's because the staff is Japanese? Perhaps it's a cultural thing? The doctor himself was very friendly and easy to talk to and diagnosed me very quickly. I decided to see Dr. Ramani due to his rave reviews on zocdoc and because my roommate also recommended him to me beforehand (he also found Ramani on zocdoc). I've been looking for a general doctor for a while and I think I've found him!

Dr. Ramani was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. I went in because of a cough, for which he provided a diagnosis and prescribed treatment, but he also took the time to answer my questions about other unrelated medical concerns I was having and referred me to appropriate specialists. I am going to see Dr. Ramani as my primary care physician from now on.

I had a severe cold, and my boss wouldn't let me come back to work until I got an okay from a doctor saying it wasn't the flu. I had never seen Dr. Ramani before, but based on great reviews, I made an appointment with him. He was able to see me the same day during extended hours, which was great. He was friendly, listened attentively to my symptoms and gave expert advice; said he didn't think I had the flu, but if I wanted him to do the test to make sure, he would be happy to. He wrote a note to my boss saying I was fine to go back to work, just in case I needed it. He also made some pretty funny jokes, which made me feel very comfortable. I am definitely making him my regular doctor after this wonderful experience.

I was extremely pleased with my appointment. I was able to schedule an appointment the same day and the wait time for the doctor was relatively short. I found him to be extremely personable,he explained things in a very clear manner. He makes you feel very comfortable and was able to answer all of my questions. He was just great. First of all, he took time to explain thoroughly reasons for diagnosis and was willing to answer any questions I had. His clear explanation gave me a big relief and made me ready for the next step. Secondly, I did not have to wait even a minute! Lastly, since I am not a English speaker, I was very confortable and grateful to have Japanese speaking doctor and staffs.

Hi there, I used this service because I'm new to NYC and needed a new primary care physician but have had a hard time finding people accepting new patients. I came on ZocDoc, was able to search by type of doctor, location and what insurance they accepted and was provided with a list of local doctors accompanied by a list of available appointments. I was able to secure a 5:30PM appointment with Dr. Ramani the *same day* I found this website. The location couldn't have been more convenient, I waited all of 5 minutes and Dr. Ramani and his staff were very friendly and thorough. I would recommend ZocDoc and Dr. Ramani to anybody, and I've already referred several of my friends to this service. Hope this helps!

I was truly impressed with Dr. Ramani. One of the great things about Dr. Ramani is that he takes the time out to answer all your questions and he went above and beyond in trying to truly educate me on my condition. I found Dr. Ramani to be extremely patient - something that a lot of doctors lack today (especially as they try and juggle multiple patients). He also provided me with a couple of very good referral options (he was also specific by identifying those doctors that took my insurance). Other side notes that made my experience positive are: 1) he saw me more or less right away (less than 5 minute wait) 2) extremely courteous and friendly staff 3) a brand new office and waiting room 4) a new Apple computer in the waiting room - for patients to browse on!
