Dr. Kelley Halstead MD

I've read MANY reviews of this Dr. and I have to say that I was VERY apprehensive to go in, BUT I needed to go in as I had a problem. I was greeted by VERY nice office staff and was immediately made aware of the long wait, due to the Dr. having to deliver two babies early in the morning. Once I waited two hours, I saw Dr. Halstead. She was NOT abrasive at all and took her time with each question. I was not feeling well (almost passed out) and she personally got me crackers and water and made sure I was okay. She also did not talk super loud and was very discreet. Look, I am very critical of Dr.'s and in this case, I would rather wait a little longer and have excellent care, than not wait and have crappy service. I also know that when I have a child, that she will take the appropriate time with me.

I love Dr. Halstead!! She's awesome! She's delivered both my kids, now 6 and 3. The only negative is the very long wait at the office, expect to wait an hour, be happy if it's less, not surprised if it's a bit more. Just make sure to bring a good book & some headphones, unless you like watch Madea movies on a continual loop.

The waiting room had a TV which was playing Tyler Perry's "Madea's Family Reunion." In my wait time I saw this movie TWICE. Waited for over two and a half hours. I had arrived ten minutes late to appointment time but I still think that was an outrageous wait time. Dr. Halstead herself was great, knowledgable and friendly. I would've loved it if the wait hadn't been so bad.

All staff and Kelly made me feel very comfortable. Everyone was kind, friendly, personable and made this the best experience I have ever had at a gynecologist. Thanks for the great appointment!

A little brusque but efficient.

I have never had a more positive experience with an OB-GYN than I had with Dr. Halstead. Professional, friendly, easy to talk to and 100% not judgemental. She may be the best doctor I've seen in my adult life.

She is very friendly and give your accurate information based on your problem. She also tells you what are the other possible diseases or problems you can have. I like the way she handle delivering information and gives you a heads up in what to do next. :)

Horrible! I had an appointment for 10:15, I arrived at 10 since it's my first time to fill out the paperwork. Didn't end up seeing the doctor until 11:30 . She is nice though, and pleasant but the wait was brutal.

She was very nice, though I felt rushed in our actual visit. I felt like she was running me out before we even started talking. I felt this was inappropriate considering I waited OVER AN HOUR for an extremely routine and scheduled appointment.

It's was good visits, she made me feel comfortable!!! I woul recommend her

Wait time was horrendous. Waited over 2 hours to see her for 2 minutes and no questions of mine were answered.

She was friendly, and the exam was brief and efficient. The wait was a bit long, but overall, it was a good visit.

This was my second appointment with Dr. Halstead. The first appointment went fine, even though she was a little harsh, I thought I liked her. Going back today, it was awful. She didn't tell me the appointment was over, and opened the door while my legs were spread (with the office staff in view) and just walked out. I'll never be back.

I had a long wait, but Dr. Halstead was very warm and professional.

I had to wait for almost two hours. This was my first appointment with the doctor and she spent all of 5 minutes with me. She asked me a couple of yes no questions and then did the quickest, most painful pelvic exam I've ever had. This is a doctor who has too many patients and doesn't give them the time and attention they deserve. It's all about getting people in and out as quickly as possible.

Though I did experience a one hour wait, I was OK with it because it was a last minute appointment and because I had read in the reviews that many others had experienced a wait. So I was prepared for that. Once seen by Dr. Halstead, I was very pleased with her services. She has a very straightforward and honest manner, which I respect and appreciate. She answered my questions and though the examination was speedy, it was perfectly thorough. And what woman would want anyone messing around down there for even a second longer than necessary, anyway?

I thought she was helpful but was pretty haste and came off a little rude at times. The wait was ridiculous, if you have anywhere to be after you should not go here as there seems to always be a long wait. I had to wait over an hour, and once I was seen she rushed me and left me still with questions. She also did not ask any of my family history, all in all I would not suggest this unless you know exactly what you want and don't expect to be guided.

The wait was horrible. I came 15 minutes befor my appointment and was not told that the doctor was behind schedule. I was then made to wait over 2 hours!! The appointment was very quick, less than 10 minutes, and to the point which is fine, but the wait was atrocious.

She seemed like she didn't want to be bothered.

I chose Dr. Halstead even though she didn't have great reviews because I needed an RX right away and she was the only one with appointments the next day. The reason she had appointments open was because it appears that she schedules appointments at least five at a time. I walked in for my 11:00 appointment and, no exaggeration, there were 20 people in the waiting room. It was one hour and forty minutes before I was seen. Once inside, Dr. Halstead was polite but seemed so incredibly rushed and somewhat uncaring that I didn't feel comfortable asking questions. One other thing - they really don't take a medical history. They ask a couple period and bladder-related questions but that's it. I was there to get my girly parts looked at, and they didn't even ask me how many sexual partners I've had, whether I've had STI testing, or anything. That was a little unsettling. Would not recommend.

I waited for almost 2 hours for Dr. Halstead. This was very frustrating indeed. Though she seemed a bit rushed once I met her, she was pleasant enough asking questions in a personable manner.

The Dr. Halstead was easy to talk to and answered all of my questions. The wait was a bit long but worth it.

I would not go again. No one apologized for the long wait and when the doctor did see me she was brusque and unprofessional (using swear words). She left the rooming saying I could get dressed and never came back even though we discussed a next step. I was so frustrated and late I just left without getting everything taken care of.

i waited an hour and a half for my appointment and it was completely ridiculous. when i finally saw her, the doctor was nice but seemed like she had absolutely no time and spent 5 minutes tops with me. she does make a person feel comfortable but she ran out of the room before i could even ask questions.

She was very easy to talk to and took my questions seriously.

Yes, she is a bit brisk but I found her briskness to be efficient. They play movies in the waiting area (soft chairs) and I found the office to be pleasant overall. I will come back again.

being that its been the first time I meet her. I thought it was great. And I'm glad that I pick the right doctor as ob/gyn

First appointment Dr. Halstead was a little condescending and talked super fast. She was very thorough though. My follow-up appointment was better then my initial one.

Front Desk staff was not very polite. I waited for over 1 hour to be seen by Dr. Halstead and only saw her for about 10 minutes. I felt rushed. Will not be going back to her

This doctor was really rushed and didn't even take a health history. No eye contact, which made her seem more impersonal. I would only go again if I had no other options.
