My appt with Dr. Rice went well. She answered all my questions and did all the necessary test.

Considering how busy Doctors are Dr. Rice managed to address all my concerns and make me feel comfortable in a short time without making me feel like I was being rushed in and out as was the case with my previous doctor. She makes a visit at the Doctors a pleasant experience because she is professional and caring.

I would have preferred if she would have taken more time and effort to hear about the problems I have been experiencing. I felt as though she was in a hurry and didn't care to really delve into the things I wanted to discuss or find out more information for.

She was professional and nice. The only complain I have is that she didn't ask about my medical history thoroughly and we didn't have enough interaction time.

I arrived early and still waited over half an hour after my appointment time to be seen, after several walk-in patients had been admitted. Once I finally saw Dr. Rice, she was welcoming and apologized for the wait due to staffing issues. She also recommended that I get my bloodwork done while I was in the office, which resulted in more waiting. Overall, 6 minutes with Dr. Rice, 5 minutes with a sweet nurse who drew my blood, and the rest of my 1.5hrs spent at the office waiting.

I like Dr. Rice, her concern for her patients is evident. Her professional yet sensitive manner is very calming for anyone who is really nervous about going to the doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr Rice for over five years and highly recommend her. She is open, honest and extremely compassionate. Unlike many doctors who talk "to" their patients, I feel like it is really a two way dialog with Dr Rice and she seeks input from her patients as partners in their healthcare.

Not good. I waited for over an hour even with an appointment and I end up not doing any test because nobody is around anymore to do the tests by the time I saw her. I end up scheduling another visit to address my concerns which I plan to cancel.

The Doctor is very thorough and professional. Also quite a nice person. The nurses and techs are also very nice. The office administrative staff, however, are problematic -- not just on this floor, but on other floors in the building, due to, I believe, poor office management and lack of staffing. They make an otherwise great experience very frustrating.

Pleasant visit minus the LONG wait. I have to say that I am very glad that I read some of these reviews before I went in as she suggested I go see a neurologist for my minor headaches. I guess this is the safe thing to do but seemed a little over-reactive.

Dr. Rice provides outstanding medical care!

Dr. Rice is very nice, and I will make appointments with her again. She seemed a little rushed, but she still listened to my concerns and referred me to specialists. I wish she had been slightly more thorough herself. I ended up feeling like she just pushed me off on other doctors in the practice because she didn't have time to assess whether or not my concerns were worth going to a specialist about. But I appreciate that she made the appointments for me, and now I can decide whether to keep them or not. I suppose the situation might have been different if she had been less busy or if I had been more assertive. Overall, great doctor and good visit.

Dr. Rice was very nice and attentive. I did wait a long time for her but I usually wait a long time for doctors anyway. I don't have a primary doctor in the city but I think I just found mine!

Always seamless and quick.

I went to Dr. Rice because I'm going on a trip and needed prescription sea sickness medication. She was wonderful. She was so warm and seemed vary knowledgeable. She's not my regular doctor, but after seeing her, I'm considering switching doctors.

She was great and I will refer her to all my friends who need a G.P.

I have only very positive feedback to give - Dr. Rice is knowledgeable, gives thorough advice, and has a very pleasant demeanor. She's the ultimate in what you want in a doctor.

I felt a little rushed being that it was my first visit. Because they were running behind I didn't feel very comfortable with the rush job, but I will have to see how my follow up is in order to truly tell if this is a brush off Dr.

Dr Rice has been my doctor for several years and I trust her completely. I know I am in excellent hands with her. She listens with compassion and pays attention to even my smallest medical complaint. She is an an excellent physician and I always know I will feel better soon after seeing her.

No complaints. Efficiently run office.Having access to forms to fill out before hand makes a big difference.I liked having access to picking a time for appt.

She's terrific. She sent me to a specialist but also made sure I did not feel that my injury was more serious than it is. (Also, I was late to my appointment so I was glad she could still see me and did not mind the unusual wait.)

The staff were a little brusque, even for New York, but the Dr. Rice was lovely. The wait time was longer than I expected based on reviews, but still somewhat reasonable.

It was quick but she referred me to a neurologist without even doing anything but taking my temperature and hearing that I had blurry vision 2 days before. I was a little freaked out and the neurologist she referred me to and said would see me right away took 2.5 hours before getting me into is office from the waiting room.

She's the best! Super helpful and knowledgeable (worldly too!) Can't recommend her enough!

Dr. Rice met one of my models who was sick with severe food poisoning on the first day of fashion week, and she and her staff were kind, professional and concerned!

I normally go to the office on 23rd Street but the doctors did not have any appointments and the wait time there is usually terrible. I saw that the 34th Street office had great ratings on wait time so I booked an appt with Dr. Rice. I was seen within 15 minutes of my appt time. Dr. Rice listened to my issue (pulled muscle) and was pleasant and thorough. She also recommended a follow up with the sports med doctor and helped me book that appointment. I would definitely see Dr. Rice again.

Dr. Rice is a respectable and professional primary care physician. I only had a routine check up, so the appointment only took a few minutes. Dr. Rice, the other physicians, and nursing staff are very friendly and efficient, however the office staff are disrepectful. Although I like Dr. Rice, the other physicians, and nurses, I'm hesitant on going back there because I don't want to deal with the office staff. All in all, it was just an ok experience.

The whole Beth Israel practice on 34th st in Manhattan is a patient factory. Long wait times, doctors and administrators are ambivalent to patient concerns and under no circumstances will anyone return a phone call. Will not be returning

This is my 2nd visit with Dr. Rice,and again, she was calm, competent and empathetic.

It was my first time seeing Dr. Rice. I went in for an annual checkup, exam was explained to me. Dr. Rice is very professional and easy to talk to. She’s a great Doctor!!!!

Laurie Rice is a good doctor. Pleasant, intelligent, looks you in the eye when speaking with you and listening to you (a rarity among docs.) Beth Isreal is very organized, and I was seen EXACTLY ON TIME. Great experience all around.

Worst receptionists ever

Dr. Rice was very nice, seemed genuinely caring, and helpful. My only complaint was the wait time both in the waiting and exam rooms, but all of the staff, nurses and receptionists included were quite pleasant.

I was very impressed. I was scene right away and everything was very efficient. The nurses were great as well.

I got there early to fill out paperwork and was shocked when they brought me in immediately. I saw Dr. Rice right away. She made a diagnosis and then spoke to me about my overall health. I'm definitely make another appointment with her for a full physical once I clear up this problem. Very efficient and professional.

I really do think it's very wrong to do surveys - especially on professionals. If I want to complain, I don't have to go to her or if I have a serious complaint, I can take it to the proper authorities. Complaints should not be solicited - people will sink to their lowest levels and find something and it only makes your employees have lower morale. Having said that, Laurie Rice is excellent in every way!

Dr. Rice is one of the nicest doctors I have been to. She give excellent advise and referrals. She made me feel comfortable and presented a real interest in my visit. She wasn't cold and distant.

I felt rushed during my time there with this doctor. I had asked a few questions on what I was diagnosed with, and her answers were vague, and unclear. I left the place shaken up, and upset. I went to see another doctor, who explained everything in detail to me, which cleared up the uncomfortable feeling I had after seeing Dr Rice.

I saw dr fallis, dr rice came in at 12:00.he was very nice and quick, I must of been the office no less than five minutes

I thought Dr. Rice was wonderful! She was very engaging and really listened to what I had to say. I will definitely see her again, but I felt like the office was having difficulties. Things seemed a little unorganized and apparently I was supposed to fast before my visit and the receptionist seemed annoyed that I didn't know that. I will visit this office again and give them another try because I liked Dr. Rice, but hopefully things are more organized the next time around!

Dr. Rice is what you hope every doctor will be: considerate, capable, patient, informative and concerned. It's not that I caught Dr. Rice on a good day - I have been seeing her for two years and her standard of care and concern has always been at the highest levels.

Dr. Rice was very kind and helpful when I met with her. I intend to make her my permanent primary care doctor.
