I went for a mole examination and did not enjoy my visit with Dr. Parish for a couple of reasons. First his exam was very fast and not thorough. I felt as though he glanced and did not even take time to look at all of them. Secondly, I was not asked to put on a hospital gown prior to the exam and undressing in front of him was uncomfortable. Felt unprofessional. Third, in pass exams doctors would use a florescent light to test certain moles - no light was used here. Fourth, I did not care for his analogies felt very disconnected to my questions. I will not go back and would not recommend anyone else to as well. I am surprised his rating was as high as it was.

I loved this guy! I came in very worried about a former doc's diagnosis, and wanted someone I could talk to about the realistic possibilities - he was courteous and used a number of metaphors to explain what he was talking about, which really helped me understand. Also, he alleviated my fears about the prior diagnosis and actually went on-line to see if he could find out more about my former docs. (who, incidentally appeared to have made the incorrect diagnosis).
And I got to my appointment and wasn't handed paperwork to fill out, the assistant at the front desk actually took my information in person! Unnerving at first, then very nice and very quick. I was in the office for no more than 5 minutes before I was speaking with the doc. Highly recommend.

Dr. Parish is an experienced professional who instilled confidence that he could help manage my skin condition. I have been to many dermatologists over the last 45+ years and I would rate Dr. Parish at the top. The wait in the office was less than 15 minutes which I liked since I was on lunch break from work. What's more I didn't have to wait 2 months for an appointment. ZocDoc exceeded my expectations. Thanks.

While I found the office staff nice and helpful, I was very disappointed with Dr. Parish's bedside manner. In my mind, treating each patient diligently and thoroughly is a fundamental responsibility of any doctor. Parish's superficial examination and disregard for my own concern was very disconcerting.
I have a family history of melanoma and skin cancer and have been advised to receive annual check-ups. Last year I had a case of malignant melanoma. I conveyed all this to Parish and identified several hot spots I try to monitor myself. He gave them less than a cursory look and then provided a mini lecture on how I would be able to clearly see if any areas of my skin were pre-cancerous. When I asked him to examine one mole in particular he did not do so, and instead said "I see nothing concerning here."
While Parish may well be right (I certainly hope he is), the disregard of my own diligence and his superficial examination were very disturbing. I feel compelled to find a second opinion, and will not be returning to this office.

Dr. Parish was very professional, which I appreciated, however he wasn't very conversational. He walked right in asked what my issue was looked at my skin and wrote me a prescription. There was no greeting just right to business. I personally didn't mind but someone else might. All in all I would say I had a good visit and I would recommend a friend!

I was really appreciative of the fact that I was seen right away, and managed to snag an appointment after my other dermatologist's secretary shooed me away with her rudeness. (Different story) However, he didn't spend a lot of time actually listening to my back story or the reasons why I came, he just took a few looks, wrote up $60+ prescriptions, and sent me on my way. The other visiting doctor just stared at me uncomfortably the entire time, it was creepy. There's no way I'd radically change medications and stuff myself with things he hardly even explained to me. He didn't bother to listen to my concerns at all. His secretary did more explaining than he did.

The reason I went to see dermatologist was hair loss.
I was in the doctor's office for less than 5 minutes. No recommendations on how to maintain or protect falling hair. No advise nor even a slight steps for future treatments of the hair.
Next time I rather go to a good hairdresser and have vitamin treatment than spent money on an advice i could google for free.

I have never met any doctor as generous & kind as Dr. Parish. My face is looking awesome - I had an acne issue for years & I finally look 'normal'..LOL. I feel so blessed to have found this doctor...I would recommend him to anyone! My friend just started with him & is already happy w/the results! And his secretary..well, I am so jealous of her always-so-neat desk!! I could never accomplish that w/mine at work! :- )

Dr. Parish's receptionist was kind of rude. She barely acknowledged that we were there (she said hello to us when we signed in only because I said it first). After about 15 minutes (which was a fine amount of time to wait if she'd ackowledged that we were there. After the appt., though she was fine. Dr. Parish was a little awkward, but seemed to know what he was talking about. He didn't really want to hear much background for the reason we were there and seemed to rush us out quickly. If I could make the decision again on a dermatologist I wouldn't make this one.
