Dr. Lisa Martén is an ophthalmologist, refractive surgeon, and specialist in cornea and external disease treating patients in San Antonio, Texas, and the
surrounding communities. Her approach centers on time and dedication, making sure to fully explain eye conditions and treatment options to each of her patients. She holds certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology and is the medical director and owner of South Texas Eye Institute.
For her undergraduate degree, Dr. Martén attended Tulane University. She conducted graduate studies through the university’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, completing a master’s degree in nutrition. At the university’s medical school, Dr. Martén completed her medical degree. She received her residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center and completed a fellowship program at the Wang Vision Institute.
