Dr. Shakir was very nice However, I had a pretty significant needless scare when Dr. shakir told me that my EKG was abnormal, and that there was some swelling in my heart. She referred me to see a cardiologist that same day. I was pretty alarmed since I have always been very healthy and I have never had any heart issues before. Well, Luckily the cardiologist did another EKG and everything was completely normal. He explained to me that Dr. Shakir had done the EKG on an alternate setting which lead her to misread the results. I realize that we all make mistakes, but botching an EGK reading seems pretty serious. I hope that this does not happen again to other patients.

Dr. Shakir was very compassionate, and concerned with my particular health issues. She took time out beyond any other doctor i have visited and explained what course to take with my wellness. I personally did not experiance any hardship with the front desk as they all were pleasent and well mannered individuals. I was seen quickly wait time is short. As a latin american i feel intimidated upon visiting any other doctors office who dont speak spanish but i did not feel that way at brooklyn medical. I am certainly going to bring my family to dr.
